WBCA announces Division 3 Girls Basketball All-State Team

Headlining Division 3 WBCA all-state are unanimous selections Chelby Koker of Shoreland Lutheran, Kiarra Otto of Laconia and Lexi Wagner of Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau. 

Otto and Mia Morel of Marshall are repeat first-team picks. 

Koker, a Northern Illinois recruit, led Shoreland Lutheran to a 21-3 record and sectional appearance before falling to state champion Marshall. The senior finished second in the state in scoring with 32.4 points per game, to go along with averaging 9.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.9 steals per game for coach Holly Bahr and the Pacers. Koker finished her career with 2,444 points. 

Otto, a two-time first-team all-state pick, led Laconia to a 27-1 record and state runner-up finish. The senior averaged 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 4.9 steals and a block per game for coach Chris Morgan and the Spartans.

Wagner led G-E-T (24-3) to its first trip to the state tournament in program history. The senior and Youngstown State recruit averaged 21.3 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.5 steals per game for coach Louis Hurd and the Red Hawks. 

Morel, a two-time first-team all-state pick, helped lead Marshall (26-2) to back-to-back Division 3 state titles. The sophomore averaged 16.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.8 steals per game for coach Alex Koeller and the Cardinals. 

Dax earns first-team all-state for a second consecutive season. The senior and Michigan Tech recruit averaged 21.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.8 steals per contest for coach Lynn Geier and the Storm. Kewaunee finished the year with a 23-2 record and reached sectional play. 

Ella Diny helped Wrightstown finish with a 20-5 record and sectional appearance. The junior averaged 19.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game for coach Mike Froehlke and the Tigers. 

Callie Genke, who holds a handful of Division I offers, led Freedom to its first state tournament appearance since 2008. The 6-foot sophomore averaged 14.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game for coach Mike Vander Loop and the Irish. Freedom ended the year with a 23-4 record, falling to state runner-up Laconia is a state semifinal. 

Madelyn Granica, an honorable mention all-state pick last season, led Amery to a 20-2 record as a senior. The University of Minnesota Duluth recruit averaged 24.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.4 steals per game for coach Gabe Brotzel and the Warriors. 

Anna Lutz helped lead Marshall to its second consecutive Division 3 state title and 26-2 overall record. The 6-foot-1 sophomore averaged 18.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.2 blocks per game for coach Alex Koeller and the Cardinals. 

Sami Martin, an honorable mention all-state pick last season, led Platteville to a 20-5 record and sectional final appearance before falling to state champion Marshall. The 6-foot-2 junior averaged 16.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2 steals per game for coach Mike Foley and the Hillmen. 

Katelyn Meister led Wisconsin Dells to a 19-4 record and takes home first-team all-state after earning honorable mention as a junior when she helped the Chiefs reach the state tournament. The Michigan Tech recruit averaged 21 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 4.2 steals and 1.2 blocks per contest for coach Bob Buss and the Chiefs.
