Henry Noone

When it comes to making shots from outside the three-point arc, no player in Wisconsin came close this winter to the accuracy of Lourdes Academy senior Henry Noone

The 6-foot-2 wing guard made 123 of 213 attempts from outside the arc through 26 games heading into the WIAA State Tournament this weekend at the Kohl Center in Madison.

Noone's remarkable 58 percent marksmanship from deep easily led the state as did his 123 makes from distance. Due to his incredible shooting from outside the arc, Noone has been selected as the top senior Shooter as part of the WSN Senior Basketball Awards.

A four-year varsity performer and Player of the Year in the Eastern Division of the Trailways Conference, Noone scored 36 points two different times this season. He went 10 of 12 from three-point range while scoring 36 points in a win over Oakfield, and finished 11 of 16 from deep en route to netting 36 points in a triumph over Wayland Academy.

He is averaging 21.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 62 percent from the field and 90 percent from the foul line.

Earlier this season, Noone became the all-time leading scorer at Lourdes Academy, passing the previous mark of 1,288 points set by Josh Donner. Noone has 1,531 career points heading into the Knights' WIAA Division 4 state semifinal game Thursday against Osseo-Fairchild.
