Kuehl and Meerstein, along with Almond-Bancroft’s Noah Kollock are repeat selections from a year ago.

Kuehl was twice named his league’s Player of the Year and three times earned First Team All-Conference. As a senior helped the Falcons to a 23-3 record, averaging 24.4 points per game. He finished his career with 2,136 points.

Meerstein led the team in points, rebounds, and assists as a senior for head coach and father Mark Meerstein. Finishing his career with 1,986 points, he was part of two state tournament squads for the Blazers.

Ognacevic put together a huge junior season, finishing among state leaders with 30.2 points per game and 15.7 rebounds per contest. He helped the Crusaders to a share of the Big East Conference crown and a Division 5 state championship.

Kollock helped guide Almond-Bancroft to an outright CWC-South crown as a senior, earning league Player of the Year honors for a second straight season. The 6’1” senior guard averaged 19.8 points per game in his final season, finishing with 1,965 in his career.

Bryce Fuerlinger of Columbus Catholic stepped into a much bigger role as a senior, increasing his scoring output ten per game to 16.1. Cory Hoglund of McDonell Central was part of four state tournament teams, including a state championship as a freshman. In his senior year he was a steadying influence as the Macks took a few lumps in a challenging Cloverbelt-West schedule but again advanced back to Madison, as Hoglund averaged 17 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.

Carter Lomas of Wauzeka-Steuben has been a First Team All-Conference choice his first three years on varsity and is already over 1200 career points. The league’s co-Player of the Year this season, he averaged 20.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Grant Manke of Bangor was the only returning starter from last year’s state championship team, but he became a dominant force this year as the Cardinals returned to the state tournament once again. The physical 6’4” forward averaged 23.5 points and 13.8 rebounds per game as Bangor captured another outright Scenic Bluffs title.

Jared Payne of Seneca is a three-time co-Player of the Year in the Ridge & Valley, doing a lot of everything for the Indians and head coach Dave Boland. As a senior, Payne averaged 17.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game to lead the team in every major stats category.

Malcolm Reed of Barneveld is a four-year varsity performer who has increased his scoring output each season. Part of a state championship team as a freshman, he continued to improve and ended up averaging better than 15 points per game as a senior for the league champion Golden Eagles.

Brandon Rowe of Rio was a repeat First Team All-Conference selection in the Trailways-West, averaging 20.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game for the Vikings. He eclipsed the 1000-point mark in his career while shooting 42.5% from the behind the three-point arc.
