Track & Field Honors: Coached by Bill Kasper... finished 4th (Division 3) in the state track & field meet in the discus as a junior... conference champion in the discus...

Favorite Sport (and why): "Basketball is my favorite sport because it combines physicality and finesse. I also enjoy how basketball is a fast paced game that starts to slow down as you understand it more, making it easier to critique your own game."

Best Part of High School Sports (and why): "The best part about playing High School Sports is the community. The amount of support that the Markesan community demonstrates is remarkable, and it is something I consider myself blessed to be a part of."

Best Advice from a High School Coach: "The best advice I ever received from a high school coach came from my basketball coach. Coach Laper said this to me a few times throughout my four years playing for him. 'Teams are going to try to take away every good aspect of your game, but they cannot stop you from hustling for every rebound, and they cannot stop you from playing hard every second.' This is something that would constantly run through my mind, keep me motivated and keep me from getting frustrated when I got face-guarded in basketball."

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "Winning the Conference Championship my senior year of basketball. This was my most memorable moment because it was the first conference championship I ever was a part of."

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "The best part about playing three sports especially in a small school like Markesan is that it is very easy to grow close bonds with all of your teammates because, for the most part, the teams include most of the same people within all the sports. I love getting to know everyone and having such good relationships with my teammates."

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: "The toughest part of playing three sports is managing time. Having practice every day, and games during the week causes three sport athletes to make tough choices regarding little bit of their free time."

Favorite Opponent (and why): "Randolph in volleyball and basketball because they give us the most competition in the conference. Randolph and Markesan have always kind of had a rivalry, and I enjoy that atmosphere."

Favorite Professional Team: "I do not watch many professional sports."

Favorite College Team: Wisconsin Badgers

Cumulative GPA: 3.57

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against (and why): "Savanna Crockett was the toughest basketball player I faced in high school. We only competed against her once, but I felt that she was the most dominant player I have played against. We had our best defender on her, who normally shuts down teams best players, but there was no stopping Savanna. Not only did she dominate on the offensive end, but she also cleaned up her teams defensive errors by blocking every one of our attempted shots that were near the paint. (Including a very impressive block that hit the wall before it hit the ground.)"

Most Admired High School Teammate (and why): "Brianna Miller. I admire Brianna because she does a lot of very great things for our basketball team that often goes unnoticed, such as playing amazing defense, and always giving 100% effort all the time. I also admire Brianna because she is such a great leader. It is very easy for Brianna to draw people's attention when she needs to tell her teammates something important, and she has a way of gaining people's trust when teaching them new things."

College Plans: "I will be attending Winona State University on a basketball scholarship and plan to study Exercise and Rehabilitation Science."

Activities Outside of Sports: "When I am not playing sports, I spend my free time riding horses, and helping out on the farm."

I Find it Relaxing to: "Sit down for an hour or two and complete a drawing or painting."
