Waterford junior Jayda Obluck has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of April 15 through 21.

There was a total of 4,449 votes cast this week. Jayda finished first with 1,981 votes. Whitefish Bay's Maggie Starker finished second with a total of 1,845 votes.

Jayda was a key piece of the puzzle as the Waterford girls track and field team took home a first place finish at the Kenosha Bradford Invite this past weekend. Jayda had two individual first place finishes as well as being on the winning 4x400 meter relay team.

In the 1000 meter race, Jayda ran it in a time of 3:10.79 for a first place finish and followed that up with a time of 1:44.17 in the 600 meter race. After capturing two first place individual finishes, she helped the 4x400 meter relay team finish in front of the rest of the pack with a time of 4:21.51.
