Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of April 22 through 28. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: Apr. 22-28

Ben Hampton, West De Pere baseball: Ben was incredible on the mound as West De Pere shut out Menasha 4-0 on Thursday in Bay Conference action. He pitched a no-hitter in the six-inning game, striking out 13 batters along the way. From the plate, Ben added an RBI.

Finn Shields, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah boys track and field: Finn took home a pair of first place finishes in the throwing events at the Big East Conference Relays last week. His throw of 47-7 was good enough to lead the field in the shot put. Finn then threw discus, and with a distance of 144-8, clinched a first place finish.

Peighton Nelson, Monona Grove girls track and field: Peighton took home a pair of individual first place finishes to help the Monona Grove girls track team place first at the Fort Atkinson Invite. She ran the 800 meter race in 2:32.40 to lead the pack. Peighton then ran the 1,600 meter race in 5:32.75 to capture her second, first place finish of the day.

Clara Kubis, Assumption girls soccer: Clara helped lead Assumption to two victories this past week after over a two week hiatus from games due to inclement weather. In a 5-1 win over Amherst/Iola-Scandinavia, Clara netted two goals herself, along with adding an assist. She then had an incredible four goals as Assumption downed Waupaca 6-1.

Olivia Bobak, Monroe softball: The fifth-ranked team in D2 swept a pair of games against Milton last week behind the arm of Olivia. Monday, she pitched a seven inning complete game in an 8-1 win. Olivia struck out 12 batters and gave up only one hit and one run. Offensively, she also scored two runs. In the Tuesday matchup, she pitched five innings, striking out 11 and only allowing four hits in a 10-0 shutout victory.
