Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of May 6 through 12. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: May 6-12

Meghan Anderson, Verona softball: Meghan was brilliant from the mound as she pitched in three separate games and didn't allow a hit throughout. In a matchup with last year's Division 1 state champion Sun Prairie, Verona secured a 2-0 win. Meghan allowed no hits while striking out seven batters in the win. She then pitched three innings in partnering with teammate Alyssa Bostley in another no-hit performance in an 18-0 win over Madison West. Meghan finished her week by pitching yet another no-hitter in the first game of a double header against Madison East. She struck out 12 batters in 11 innings in the 10-0 win.

Payton VanLaarhoven, De Pere boys track and field: Payton posted two individual and was a part of one relay win as De Pere took home a first place finish at the Algoma Invite. Payton was the last leg of the 400 meter relay that won in a time of 45.09 seconds. He also took home first place finishes in both the 100 meter and 200 meter races with times of 11.46 and 23.71 seconds respectively.

Gavin Gillitzer, Prairie du Chien baseball: Gavin led the division three, top-ranked Blackhawks to a trio of victories last week, including a dominating day against SWC foe Platteville. In the 11-0 win over the Hillmen, Gavin recorded a six-inning no-hitter while striking out ten batters. Not only was he incredible on the mound, but Gavin also launched a two-run home run at the plate.

Braeden Resnick, Rice Lake boys golf: Braeden finished ahead of the pack at the Big Rivers Conference meet to medal. He shot a 34 which was a two under par. Braeden finished two strokes ahead of the next golfer.

Natalie Oatsvall, Union Grove girls soccer: The Division 2, fifth-ranked Union Grove girls soccer team was fueled to four separate wins this past week, compiling six goals overall. In a 9-0 win over Westosha Central, Natalie netted two goals. She then had four goals and added an assist in a 11-0 win over Wilmot. Finally, Natalie had a lone goal in a 5-0 victory over Elkhorn.
