Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of May 13 through 19. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: May 13-19

Jared Lawatsch, Neenah boys tennis: Jared started his week off by defeating Oshkosh North's Charlie Bock in number one singles on Tuesday with scores of 6-4 and 6-2. Jared then faced off with Oshkosh West's Grant Count in the number one singles matchup at the Fox Valley Conference Meet. He took both sets 6-3 to win the conference meet.

Abbie Kozlowski, Montello softball: Abbie was busy on the mound this past week recording three wins for the Montello softball team, including a first round playoff win. In a double header against Princeton/Green Lake, Abbie pitched all 14 innings in the two games. In the 3-2 game one win, she allowed two unearned runs while striking out four batters. She followed that up with one unearned run and eight strikeouts in the 7-1 game two win. Montello then matched up with Edgar in the first round of the WIAA playoffs. Abbie struck out 11 batters en route to a seven-inning 8-0 shutout win.

Owen Washburn, Webster baseball: Owen has been a catalyst all season for the top ranked and undefeated Webster baseball team. This past week he continued his run of excellent play. Through five games last week, Owen compiled 12 hits in 17 at-bats, walked twice, and scored ten runs. He also added three home runs and ten RBIs. Owen was also phenomenal from the mound. In the 16-2 win over Baldwin-Woodville, he pitched four innings, allowed one run, and struck out six en route to recording the win. He also pitched a five-inning no-hitter in a 7-0 win over Clayton/Turtle Lake, striking out ten batters in the process.

Emma Karpinski, Waterford girls track and field: Emma helped fuel Waterford to a dominant win at the Southern Lakes Conference Meet last week. She took home two individual first place finishes and was second on relay. Emma won the 100 and 200 meter dashes with times of 13.05 and 26.52 seconds respectively. She then was a part of the 4x100 meter relay team that took second.

Sawyer Maly, Waunakee boys track and field: Sawyer was absolutely incredible at the Badger-North Conference meets last week, taking home three first-place finishes and one second. Sawyer won both the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes with times of 11.33 and 23.16 seconds. He then went on to win the high jump with a height of 6'2". He finished off the meet by coming in second in the long jump at 21-4.5. Sawyer compiled a meet high 38 points for Waunakee, who came in third overall.
