Rice Lake junior Adam Strouf has been selected as the Athlete of the Week for the week of May 20 through 26.

There was a total of 2,046 cast this week. Adam finished first with 603 votes. Lodi's Lucas Heyroth finished second with a total of 396 votes.

Adam advanced past sectionals and onto state in both throwing events, and in the process broke a 43 year old record. Adam finished fourth in discuss in sectionals, with a throw good enough to advance him. He then took home a first place finish in the shot put to advance to La Crosse this weekend. Adam's distance of 58'11.25" set a new school record that had lasted over 43 years at Rice Lake High School.
