Riley Bauman, Stratford baseball: Riley was at his best this weekend from the plate as he helped lead Stratford to its first baseball state championship in school history. In the semi-final 7-5 victory over Boyceville, he went two for three from the plate with two RBIs. Riley followed that up with another two-hit performance as Boyceville downed Markesan 9-4 in the Division 3 championship game. He added another two RBIs as well.

Sam Stange, Eau Claire North baseball: Sam had an incredible state tournament this past week as Eau Claire North came away with gold in its fourth straight trip to state. In the quarter-final, 15-12, slugfest victory over Sussex Hamilton, Sam went three of four with four RBIs and one run. Two of his three hits were triples. He then had another two hits in an 8-4 semi-final win over Fond du Lac. He added another two RBIs and one run. In the championship game they faced off with defending Division 1 champ Sun Prairie. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Sam hit a three-run home run to give Eau Claire North a 5-4 lead which would go on to be the final.

Jack Washburn, Webster baseball: Webster was looking to win back-to-back state titles last week and Jack helped ensure that that would happen. In the 4-3 semi-final victory over Athens, Jack came in and pitched a scoreless seventh inning to hold off Athens and record the save. Jack then took the mound for the start in the championship game against Mineral Point. He dominated, striking out 11 and allowing only two hits as Webster secured an 11-1 win.

Melia Moyer, Oregon girls soccer: Melia was incredible in the net last weekend for Oregon in their fifth straight state appearance. In a 2-0 shutout over Brookfield East in the semi-finals, Melia recorded three saves. Oregon then matched up with Whitefish Bay in the Division 2 championship and after regulation and two overtime periods, the score was 1-1 heading to a shootout. Oregon won 4-1 in the shootout and Melia recorded an incredible ten saves in the win.

Cate Patterson, The Prairie School girls soccer: Cate put pressure on the opposition all weekend for The Prairie School as they took home a first place finish in Division 4. In the 2-0 semi-final win over Kettle Moraine Lutheran, Cate recorded both goals for The Prairie School. She had eight shots on goal in the contest. Cate didn't score a goal in the 2-0 win over Oostburg in the championship match but that wasn't indicative of her presence. She put pressure on the Oostburg defense constantly and had five shots on goal.
