As part of the weekly preview I produce every Thursday showcasing the best games from around the state, I always highlight one contest as the Game of the Week. To expand on that, each week I'll post a poll where you -- the fans -- can vote for who you think will win the Game of the Week.

Brookfield Central (Division 2 #3) at Catholic Memorial (Division 3 #1) at Carroll University -- Friday, 7 pm

A second straight Greater Metro versus Classic Eight showdown for Game of the Week, and if this one is anything like last week's Muskego win over Marquette, we'll be in for quite the game. Brookfield Central is a two-time runner-up in Division 2, and proved they are a threat to get back to Madison with a dominating 45-14 win over Wauwatosa East in Week 1, as Joel Nellis got his first head coaching win after taking over for Jed Kennedy. This will be his first big test, however, as Catholic Memorial is loaded coming off a Division 3 state title last year. Luke Fox had a big game with four touchdowns passes in a Week 1 win over Oconomowoc, three of them going to senior receiver Joe Sikma. These teams will have very challenging league schedules the rest of the way and are among the best in the state once again with trips to Camp Randall on their mind, but this is a fun way to test themselves early in the year.
