WisSports.net Week 3 Player of the Week Nominees

Nick Baudhuin, Southern Door

When you break a record held by a former Notre Dame and NFL player, you know you're doing something pretty good. That was the case for Southern Door's Nick Baudhuin Friday night, when the Eagles topped Crivitz 39-14. Carrying the ball 37 times, he rushed for 403 yards and six touchdowns, breaking the school single-game rushing record previously held by Jim Flanigan. Three of Baudhuin's scores came in the second half, when the team blew open what had been a 19-14 game at halftime.

Corey Hahn, Lancaster

Lancaster makes the move from the SWC to the SWAL this year, and Friday night got a big win against one of the league's top teams, taking down Darlington 46-21. Fullback Corey Hahn was a workhorse, carrying the ball 29 times for 237 yards and five touchdowns in the victory. Two of those scores came in the fourth quarter after Darlington had pulled within 11 points. Hahn is averaging more than 200 yards per game this year for the Flying Arrows.

Jaylen Hill, Pius XI Catholic

Pius XI Catholic claimed its first victory since the 2017 season, beating West Allis Central 45-20 in a Woodland-West conference game. Quarterback Jaylen Hill had a part in all seven Pius touchdowns, throwing six and rushing for one. He finished the day with 247 yards on 13-of-22 passing, with 16 rushing attempts for 138 yards.

Drake Martin, Rhinelander

Rhinelander is off to a 3-0 start, including a 25-7 victory over Lakeland in a rivalry game for the Northwoods Axe. Running back Drake Martin helped put the game away for the Hodags with a pair of short fourth quarter touchdowns, but his impact was felt throughout the game. Martin finished with 29 carries for 237 yards and three rushing touchdowns, adding three receptions for 52 yards plus 11 tackles on defense and a 47-yard punt.

Kavonte Shorter, Madison La Follette

Madison La Follette moved to 2-1 on the season, doing so in impressive fashion with a 33-0 shutout of Beloit Memorial. Beloit's offense was completely stifled, and junior Kavonte Shorter of La Follette had a big part in that. Recording 12 total tackles, Shorter had seven tackles for loss and four sacks for the Lancers and head coach Scott Swanson.
