Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of September 2 through September 8. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: September 2-8

Gianna Vollrath, Fall Creek girls volleyball: Fall Creek picked up 12 wins this past week and Gianna was spectacular throughout. Tuesday, Fall Creek won three matches at the Durand Quad behind 29 kills and six blocks from Gianna. She followed that up with 17 kills as Fall Creek swept all three matches at their own quad on Thursday. Over the weekend, Gianna recorded 49 kills as Fall Creek swept six matches en route to a first place finish at the Sparta Invite.

Jordan Armstrong, Verona girls volleyball: The second ranked Verona girls volleyball team came away with a first place finish at the Monona Grove Invite over the weekend. Jordan led the team with 70 assists and added nine aces to propel the Wildcats to gold. Earlier in the week, Jordan recorded 27 assists as Verona swept Madison La Follette 3-0 in a Big Eight matchup.

Brayden Dickelman, Shawano football: Brayden could not be stopped Friday night as Shawano blew out Green Bay East in a 50-6 Bay Conference win. He carried the ball 12 times for 293 yards, adding four touchdowns along the way. Brayden averaged an uncanny 24.4. yards per carry, en route to recording the fourth best rushing night, in terms of yards, of week three of the football season.

Andrew Johnson, New Richmond boys soccer: Andrew led the Division 2, tenth-ranked New Richmond soccer team to a trio of 6-0 shutouts this past week. To begin the week, Andrew had two goals and two assists in the 6-0 win over Baldwin-Woodville. He followed that up with another three goals in the 6-0 win over Hayward/Lac Courte Oreilles. Andrew finished the week with another two goal, two assist performance in a 6-0 win over Somerset. Andrew accounted for half (9 of 18) of the teams' points throughout the week.

Eddie Her, Black River Falls/Melrose-Mindoro boys soccer: Eddie led the Black River Falls/Melrose-Mindoro co-op to a pair of wins this past week. He first had two goals in a 4-0 win over South Central Conference foe Adams-Friendship. Eddie then turned in an incredible performance, willing his team to a 6-5 win over Coulee Christian/Providence. He accounted for all six goals as he scored four himself, and assisted on two others.
