Week 4 WSN Football Player of the Week Nominees

The WisSports.net Player of the Week is back again for 2019. Voting is featured at the bottom of this article. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word (hint: Social Media is a great way to do so). Users may vote once per day.

WisSports.net Week 4 Player of the Week Nominees

Cole Booth, Plymouth

Plymouth took down previously undefeated Berlin 35-7 on Friday night to remain in a first place tie in the East Central Conference. Senior quarterback Cole Booth had a big game in all facets of the offense. He finished with 21 carries for 101 yards and a two touchdowns. Booth completed eight-of-13 passes for 197 yards and two more scores. And, he caught a seven-yard touchdown. In the second quarter alone, he threw for, caught, and ran for a touchdown.

Brett Boram, Menomonee Falls

Menomonee Falls is off to a surprising 4-0 start, including a 9-7 slugfest win over Brookfield East in a matchup of undefeated teams. Falls got a field goal and touchdown in the second quarter to go up 9-7, and the defense took care of things the rest of the way. Senior linebacker Brett Boram continued his strong play with 16 total tackles. Three of those tackles went for loss, including a pair of sacks. In four games this year, Boram has 39 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and five sacks.

Hank Hofmann, Kaukauna

Kaukauna is off to an impressive 4-0 start to the season after a 35-7 victory over defending VFA-West champion Marshfield on Friday night in a VFA crossover game. Junior running back Hank Hofmann ripped off three long touchdown runs, the first coming on a 67-yard scamper in the first quarter. He added another 67-yard run in the second quarter, and a 68-yarder in the third quarter as the Galloping Ghosts built a 21-0 advantage heading to the fourth. Hofmann finished with 17 carries for 283 yards and three scores, adding a three-yard reception as well. 

Evan Jordahl, Milton

Milton is 4-0 on the season, and after taking down defending league champion Monona Grove, 27-20, on Friday, the Red Hawks appear to be the favorites in the Badger-South Conference. Quarterback Evan Jordahl hit on some big plays in the passing game, completing seven-of-nine passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns for a perfect 158.3 passer rating. He added 11 carries for 106 yards on the ground as well. 

Carter Riesen, Beaver Dam

Beaver Dam recorded its first win of the year, knocking off Baraboo 35-14. Junior quarterback Carter Riesen set a school-record with 345 passing yards, completing 13-of-19 passes. Four of those throws went for touchdowns. The game was tied at seven after the first quarter, but Riesen threw a pair of second quarter touchdowns and another early in third to give the Golden Beavers a comfortable cushion.
