Team 7 was the champion of the 2019 WSN Boys Basketball Showcase

The 2019 WSN Basketball Showcase was held at Kettle Moraine High School on Sunday, September 15th, and it was a great day of hoops all-around. More than 160 athletes competed in the boys portion of the event in the afternoon.

To view Mark Miller's recap with observations including his All-Showcase Team, breakout performers, top shooters, and top young players to watch, please see here.

Players were divided into 24 teams, with four pools of six teams each. Teams played every other team in their pool once, then the top two teams from each pool were paired with a corresponding team in the other pool based on overall record for a playoff round. The winner of the two, first place crossovers matched up in a final championship game.

Team 7 coached by Craig Weisbrod, head coach for the DeForest boys team, went unbeaten in pool play and knocked off Team 21 in the championship game. Members of Team 21 are: Max Weisbrod, DeForest; James Monogue, Jefferson; Sean Murray, Kettle Moraine; Payton Parrish, Milwaukee King; Carter Thomas, Neenah; Keegan Ofstie, Baldwin-Woodville; Charlie McQuestion, Catholic Memorial.

At the conclusion of the event, each coach selected an MVP and Hustle Award winner from their team, which can be found below.

More than 15 colleges were in attendance for the event.

WSN would like to give a sincere thanks to all of the players, parents, college coaches, staff coaches for helping us make this such a successful event at Kettle Moraine High School.
