The Kettle Moraine Lasers have been selected as the Week 4 WSN Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team shocked unbeaten, defending state champion Catholic Memorial to claim a huge Classic Eight Conference win. The Lasers were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 4. A total of 6,230 votes were cast, as Kettle Moraine's 2,546 votes edged Superior's 1,669 votes.

Kettle Moraine had a rough start to the 2019 season, dropping the first two games before a nail-biting win over Oconomowoc. It wasn't necessarily a start that predicted big things to come, but the Lasers stayed the course and it paid off in a big way. Against D3 top-ranked and defending state champion Catholic Memorial, Kettle Moraine was out-gained 406 to 223, but made the plays they needed to pull off a shocking 13-11 victory. Chase Matyszczyk booted a pair of first half field goals and Jackson Holzhauer connected with Tommy Hoeft late in the third quarter on what proved to be the game-winning touchdown.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 5 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
