Prep Props is our weekly look at the best individual statistical performances in the state, with the leaders in rushing yards, passing yards, and receiving yards. Prep Props is published every Monday morning.

Week 5 Rushing Leaders

HOPE Christian quarterback Malcolm Gillie only completed three-of-11 passes against Kenosha Christian Life, but he accounted for more than 400 yards of offense. Most of the damage came on the ground, where he carried it 11 times for 329 yards and six touchdowns in the 78-20 win, including a 61-yard touchdown run with 45 seconds left in the game. He also threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns.

Week 5 Passing Leaders

Waukesha North went down 28-7 to Arrowhead early in the third quarter, but the Northstars did not give up, and came back to pull within a score in the final minute before ultimately falling 31-28. Senior quarterback Johnny Kelliher engineered much of the offense, throwing for 362 yards and two touchdowns on 20-of-38 passing in the game. He added 53 yards on the ground in the loss.

Week 5 Receiving Leaders

Exhibit A on why you keep playing to win the game, even if one team gets a big lead. Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian led Howards Grove 40-20 at halftime and 54-27 at one point in the third quarter before Howards Grove scored 26 unanswered points and failed on what would have been the game-winning two-point conversion in the fourth quarter, as KLC survived 54-53. The teams combined for 1,144 yards of offense, as Colin Girdaukas hauled in eight passes for a state-best 246 yards and two touchdowns in the win for Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian.
