Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year.

Muskego keeps on keeping on as the top-ranked team in the Division 1 Coaches Poll, hammering defending Division 3 and top-ranked Catholic Memorial 56-14. Surprisingly, Bay Port edged just ahead of Kimberly to grab the number two position. There were a number of changes in the bottom of the rankings, as losses by Sun Prairie, Verona, and Appleton East all lost and fell out of the poll. New this week are Arrowhead, Madison La Follette, and Milwaukee King.

Waunakee's spot atop the Division 2 rankings is solidified, as defending champion and previous second-ranked Homestead went down in a tough game to Hartford and drops to fifth this week. West De Pere moves up to second behind Waunakee, while Hartford jumps from sixth to third. Brookfield Central suffered its second defeat of the year, a shutout loss to Marquette on Saturday, as the Lancers drop all the way out of the rankings. Unbeaten Ashwaubenon enters for the first time at tenth. To show the depth of Division 2, unbeaten teams Pulaski, Burlington, and Milton, along with strong programs like Hortonville, Kaukauna, and Brookfield Central cannot crack the top ten.

What to do in Division 3? That was the decision facing coaches this week, as top-ranked defending state champion Catholic Memorial was hammered by D1 #1 Muskego, and second-ranked Menasha went down to D2 #3 West De Pere. Perhaps surprisingly, both Catholic Memorial and Menasha remained in the same spots as last week. That means the top-ranked Division 3 team, Catholic Memorial, has two losses this year. In fact, there were no changes in the poll, except Plymouth moving into a tie for tenth with Sparta after a dominating win over rival Kewaskum.

Another division with the possibility for change, as top-ranked Racine St. Catherine's saw a 22-0 lead against Racine Lutheran evaporate in a 30-22 loss. As a result, the defending champion Angels fall out of the top spot to third. It was very much a split vote, with several different teams receiving number one votes, but Kiel edges out Freedom for the number one position this week. G-E-T moves in at number ten this week.

Stratford remains a unanimous number one team in Division 5, followed once again by Amherst and Lancaster. Lake Country Lutheran and Saint Mary's Springs round out the top five, while despite being un-scored upon this year, Mondovi is just outside the top five at sixth. Cumberland's win over seventh-ranked Bloomer allowed the Beavers to move into the rankings at eighth, as Bloomer drops out. Saint John's Military Academy falls out of the poll after going down to Lake Country Lutheran, allowing Kewaunee to enter the poll at number ten.

Racine Lutheran picked up a few votes after another impressive victory, this time against D4 top-ranked Racine St. Catherine's, but Regis managed to hold on to the top spot once again. Darlington went down to Aquinas, as the Redbirds fall to tenth from sixth. Kenosha St. Joseph re-enters the poll to replace Auburndale.

Not much changed in the Division 7 rankings, as Black Hawk/Warren (IL) remains on top of the poll, followed closely by Bangor and Edgar. You have to go all the way down to eighth-ranked Randolph to find the first loss last week, as the Rockets' defeat against fifth-ranked Lourdes Academy dropped the team to tenth. De Soto falls out after going down to Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca, with Athens moving in to the ninth spot.

Luck and Newman Catholic continue to dominate the 8-Player Coaches Poll as the top two teams. Once again, there are changes behind that top two. Florence suffered its first loss of the year, dropping from third to seventh this week. Siren went down for a second time, sliding from fifth to tenth. Phillips moves up to take the number three spot this week, as Belmont and Algoma round out the top five.
