Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year.

Division 1

Muskego is once again a heavy favorite in the Division 1 Coaches Poll, which features no changes in the top six teams this week. However, three of the bottom four in last week's poll suffered defeats, as Arrowhead and Madison La Follette drop out of the rankings, while Mukwonago narrowly holds on at number nine. Verona shoots up from unranked to seventh this week, while Milwaukee King moves up from tenth to eighth. Marquette re-enters the rankings with a 4-3 mark, though the Hilltoppers have won four straight after a 0-3 start.

Division 2

Waunakee keeps its spot at the top of the Division 2 Coaches Poll, but there are some significant changes elsewhere. Menomonie suffered its first loss of the year and drops from fourth to seventh. Ashwaubenon went down for the first time as well, dropping the Jaguars out of the rankings completely. Also falling out after a second loss was Brookfield East. New teams to the poll this week are Pulaski and Superior, with teams like Wilmot and Brookfield Central just outside the top ten.

Division 3

The current group of teams assigned to Division 3 in our Coaches Poll continue to be quite muddled, but as we saw in the first Playoff Projections on WSN, a number of strong teams could drop down once the playoffs hit. As it stands, defending champion Catholic Memorial maintains the number one position, with Menasha, Medford, New Berlin Eisenhower, and Onalaska rounding out the top five.

Division 4

Kiel remains the top-ranked team in the Week 7 WisSports.net Division 4 Coaches Poll, followed closely by Freedom and defending champion Racine St. Catherine's. Northwestern nudged just ahead of Martin Luther for the fourth position this week. Lodi was the only ranked team to lose last week, as the Blue Devils' first loss of the year against Columbus caused them to drop out of the rankings, allowing Edgerton to enter at tenth.

Division 5

Stratford continues to dominate the Division 5 Coaches Poll, which saw no changes this week in the top ten. The top-ranked Tigers get their toughest test of the year this week as they travel to rival Edgar. Second-ranked Amherst has a bye this week.

Division 6

In a mild surprise, four different teams received at least one first place vote in the Division 6 Coaches Poll, though Regis remains the majority favorite. Racine Lutheran follows, with Mineral Point, Abbotsford, and Spring Valley rounding out the top five. Manawa's loss to D5 #2 Amherst did hurt the Wolves in the rankings, as they remain at number seven. Markesan and Kenosha St. Joseph drop out following losses, with Auburndale and Lake Holcome/Cornell moving into the poll.

Division 7

It was good to be an unbeaten Division 7 team last week, as all seven such programs won, including top-ranked and defending state champion Black Hawk/Warren (IL). It was not so fun to be a team ranked in the bottom three of the poll, as all three of them, Blair-Taylor, Athens, and Randolph, went down and were dropped out of the rankings this week by the voting coaches. Moving in this week are Potosi/Cassville, De Soto, and River Ridge.

8-Player

There were no changes in the top five of the coaches poll, where Luck leads the way, followed by Newman Catholic, Phillips, Belmont, and Algoma. There were plenty of changes in the bottom half of the rankings, however, as losses by Florence, Gibraltar, and Wisconsin Heights dropped all three teams out of the poll. New this week are Shell Lake, who debuts at sixth, along with Northwood/Solon Springs and Bruce.
