More than 4,100 people tuned in for our Facebook Live event last year

Week 9 of the high school football season is the biggest week of the year, with loads of conference races still up for grabs and dozens of teams trying feverishly to get qualified for the playoffs.

As always, WisSports.net is your BEST source of information around the wild and crazy Friday night, that will feature 176 games along with the finalization of the 224-team playoff field in 11-Player football plus the 16-team, 8-Player qualifying field.

We're bringing back a popular feature this year in the form of a Facebook Live streaming event beginning at 9:30 pm on Friday, as WSN General Manager and Football Writer Travis Wilson will provide live updates as we collect the last few game scores and begin working on determining which teams qualify for the postseason. He'll share info as he breaks down possible tiebreakers needed to determine the last few spots, as well as how those will impact the division cutlines.

More than 4,100 people joined in for last year's livestream, so be sure to join the fun and check it out. We will be doing a practice run of the Facebook Live setup on Wednesday at 1 pm with a preview of Week 9 and some of the games to watch that will impact playoff qualifying.

You can watch the Facebook Live event by going to the WisSports.net Facebook page at www.facebook.com/wissports.net

WisSports.net will have the unofficial playoff field posted in full article format shortly after all games are completed Friday night, likely between 10:30 and 11 pm. The WIAA has indicated they will release the official playoff field after 11 pm, and we will be posting it immediately as well. The WIAA will be releasing the 8-team regional groupings around 1:30 am, and the actual playoff brackets and match-ups on Saturday afternoon.

The Facebook Live event will run as long as people are tuning in, but expect it to go until at least midnight on Friday. Be sure to join in the conversation in the comments, where you can ask questions, share news and information, or poke fun at Travis' office decor.
