Vanessa Uitenbroek, Kaukauna girls volleyball: Vanessa helped assist the Kaukauna girls volleyball team to a regional championship. In a 3-0 sweep of Green Bay Southwest, Vanessa had 23 assists to lead the fourth seeded Ghosts to a win. She followed that up with 47 assists and eight digs in a thrilling 3-2 win over Appleton East in the regional final match.
Stevie Samuels, Newman Catholic girls volleyball: Like Vanessa, Stevie was pivotal in her team claiming a regional championship over the weekend. Stevie is attempting to lead Newman Catholic to its ninth straight appearance at state. Through the three regional matches, she had an incredible 95 assists as the team didn't drop a set throughout. She had 30 assists and six digs in a 3-0 sweep of Almond-Bancroft and followed that up with 33 assists in the win over Pittsville. Stevie finished the week of with 32 more assists and five digs in the 3-0 sweep of Prentice in the regional finals.
Aaron Borgerding, Spring Valley football: Aaron has been incredible all season for the Spring Valley football season leading them to a 9-1 record and a two seed in the WIAA playoffs. In the Level 1 matchup with Durand, Aaron rushed 22 times for 212 yards and two scores en route to a 34-14 win. Defensively he added five tackles, while Aaron also connected on four of five extra points at the kicker position.
John Wilke, Lake Mills boys soccer: Lake Mills cruised to a regional championship as John led the team. In a 6-0 win over Campbellsport, John netted two goals. He then took control in the regional final showdown with Mayville. John netted four goals and added one assist as Lake Mills advanced to sectional play with an 8-1 win.
Parker Bowman, Rice Lake boys soccer: Parker was unstoppable as Rice Lake blew away its opponents in regional play. In the 10-0 win over Spooner/Shell Lake, Parker netted half the team's goals with five of his own. He then added a hat trick, scoring three goals while adding another three assists in a 9-1 win over Amery in the regional final.
