G-E-T posted a second straight dominating playoff victory on Friday, downing Aquinas 38-0 in a running clock. Running was the operative word, as the team attempted just one pass, an incompletion, but racked up 447 yards and five touchdowns on 44 carries. Luke Vance led the way with 21 rush attempts for 290 yards and three touchdowns, while Bryce Burns also cleared the century mark as the team averaged better than ten yards per carry. This marks the team's third foray into Level 3 of the playoffs and first since 2016.

Gilman was down 8-0 midway through the first quarter at second-seeded Almond-Bancroft, but it was all Gilman after that, as the team rattled off 35 straight points en route to a 35-15 victory. It was the first loss of the season for Almond-Bancroft, who averaged just two yards per rush attempt and totaled only 167 yards of offense. Gilman got 235 yards from its rushing attack, while quarterback Gabe Gunderson completed three of his four pass attempts for 65 yards in the dominating victory. This marks the deepest postseason penetration for Gilman since winning the 2010 Division 7 state title.

Top-seeded Hartford remained undefeated and posted a second straight postseason shutout in a 26-0 victory over Holmen last Friday in a Division 2 playoff game. Just a week after Holmen rolled up 353 rushing yards against Watertown, Hartford's defense limited the Vikings to just 24 yards on 29 carries. The Orioles also picked off a Holmen pass and did not allow a completion in eight attempts. The passing game struggled a bit for Hartford in the elements, but the rushing attack cranked out 236 yards and three touchdowns on 43 attempts. A.J. Pepin did most of the damage, going for 181 yards and all three rushing scores.

Superior had to sweat out a couple close nail-biters to advance to Level 3 for the first time since 2014. In Level 1, the Spartans trailed Marshfield 30-22 at halftime and were down by a point midway into the fourth quarter before converting a 91-yard drive to take the lead for good in a 44-37 win. Last week, Superior trailed Pulaski 27-16 early in the fourth but would score three touchdowns in the final nine minutes for a 36-27 victory. Pulaski was lined up for a potential game-tying field goal on the final play but Superior blocked it and returned it for a score. Quarterback Jarrett Gronski was huge all game, throwing for 190 yards and a touchdown, adding 122 yards and three scores on the ground.

Turtle Lake went on the road and put a running clock on second-seeded Blair-Taylor, winning 44-6 in a Division 7 playoff contest. The Lakers' defense came up big, limiting Blair-Taylor to nine-of-24 passing while picking off Wildcats quarterback Cain Fremstad three times. They also limited Blair-Taylor to 30 rushing yards on 20 carries. Turtle Lake quarterback Adam Waite thew for 142 yards and a touchdown and added a pair of short touchdown runs as well as the Lakers advance to Level 3 for the first time since 2001.
