Football season stats leaders for 2019

Bangor's Carter Horstman led the state in rushing touchdowns and finished third in rushing yards in 2019

Season Rushing Leaders

Grafton qualified for the playoffs for just the second time in the last 22 years behind a potent offense that put up big numbers through the air and on the ground. Senior running back Joey Giorgi took a big step forward this season, leading the state with 2,338 yards on 288 carries with 29 rushing scores. He averaged 8.1 yards per carry with 344 yards and five touchdowns in a Week 2 win over West Bend East. Giorgi was also the teams' second-leading receiver, hauling in 34 passes for 442 yards and five touchdowns. Elk Mound's Blaze Todd and Bangor's Carter Horstman shared the state lead with 33 rushing scores.

Season Passing Leaders

Lake Mills junior quarterback Adam Moen had a historic season, setting a new state record for most combined passing and rushing yards, with the second-most combined touchdowns in a single-season. Spear-heading the team's high-powered offense, he completed 236-of-370 passes for 3,517 yards, with 39 touchdowns. He was also the team's leading rusher, going for 960 yards and 21 touchdowns on 154 carries.

Season Receiving Leaders

Lake Mills' high-powered passing attack saw two players catch at least 75 passes with more than 1100 yards. Hunter Buechel led the team and the state in receiving yards with 1,222 on 78 catches with 11 touchdowns. Cumberland's Jack Martens led the state in receptions with 94, while Martin Luther junior Sylvere Campbell had the most receiving touchdowns with 16.
