PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: Dec. 2-8

Julianna Wagner, Lake Mills girls basketball: Julianna was great this past week as she led Lake Mills to an impressive pair of victories last week. Along with her 16 points, she added eight assists and three steals in their 83-62 win over Sauk Prairie. Thursday, Lake Mills faced off with two-time defending Division 3 champ, Marshall. Julianna helped Lake Mills end the game on a 7-1 run to take home a 58-57 win. She finished with 21 points, five assists, and three steals.

Kylie Schmidt, Mishicot girls basketball: Kylie came up one rebound shy of a pair of double-doubles as Mishicot came away with a pair of Big East Conference victories. In the 64-28 win over Saint Mary Catholic, Kylie had 19 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. She then had 20 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in a 77-18 win over Reedsville. Kylie added 11 steals in the two games, filling out the stat sheet.

Cody Minor, Ashwaubenon wrestling: As a junior last season, Cody took home a first place finish at the WIAA Individual State Wrestling Meet in the 113 weight class. This past weekend, he finished first at the Kimberly Papermaker Invite at 132 pounds. In the championship bout, he defeated Jack Severin of Kewaunee by decision, 10-1.

Gabe Krueger, Wausau East boys basketball: Most players don't put up a 40 point performance in all of their high school playing days. This past week, Gabe scored 40 points for the second straight game. In an 81-66 win over Green Bay East, Gabe had a game high 40 points and nine rebounds. He shot 90% from the field, making 18 of 20 shots taken.

Adam Larson, Fennimore boys basketball: Fennimore picked up a pair of wins this past week, fueled by the lanky junior's play throughout. In a 55-42 win over Prairie du Chien, Adam had a game high 24 points while adding five rebounds and five blocks. He then tied a career high by pouring in 31 points in a 64-43 win over Southwestern. He added another nine rebounds and four blocks in the impressive win.
