Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of January 27 through February 2. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: Jan. 27-Feb. 2

Anna Mortag, Brookfield Central girls basketball: Anna was sensational as Brookfield Central took home a trio of wins this past week. First in a 79-72 win over Division 1, third-ranked Germantown, Anna had 35 points and 12 rebounds to lead the upset victory. She followed that up with 22 points in a 67-33 win over West Allis Hale. Anna, who is a IUPUI signee, finished the week off by scoring a game high 30 points in a 50-38 win over Arrowhead.

Sitori Tanin, Middleton girls basketball: Middleton had only one game this past week but it was a big one as they matched up with second-ranked and undefeated Madison Memorial in Big Eight play. The fourth-ranked Cardinals downed Memorial 77-68 behind a strong showing from Sitori. She scored 17 points, while hauling in a dominating 20 rebounds in the victory.

Jager Eisch, Kaukauna wrestling: Jager, who is the second ranked wrestler in his weight class in Division 1 took home the 132 pound title at the Pulaski Invite this past weekend. To do so, Jager had to take down Luxemburg-Casco's Lucas Joniaux, who was the top ranked wrestler in Division 2 in his weight class. In the finals, Jager scored a sudden victory in a 6-4 decision to claim the title. Jager is now 32-3 on the season.

Preston Ruedinger, Lourdes Academy boys basketball: Preston was absolutely on fire from deep over three Lourdes wins last week. In a 78-49 win over Central Wisconsin Christian, Preston had 26 points and four steals, connecting on four shots from deep. He then had 46 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists in a 96-53 win over state-ranked Hustisford. Preston connected on 10 of 15 shots from three point land. He finished the week with 29 points and nine rebounds in an 81-68 win over DeForest. Again, Preston connected on four shots from beyond the arc, totaling 18 over the three games.

Peyton Rogers-Schmidt, Chippewa Falls boys basketball: Peyton helped Chippewa Falls claim first place in the Big Rivers Conference standings this past week. The Cardinals took down Hudson 62-52 behind a strong showing from Peyton. The lengthy senior had 22 points and 14 rebounds to lead the squad to victory. He was a force defensively as well as he blocked five Hudson shots in the game.
