WIAC Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week
(Week of January 27 - February 2)

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Bailey Kale, Sophomore (La Crosse, Wis./Central), Guard of UW-Whitewater

Kale recorded a team-high 18 points, including the go-ahead jumper in the final minute, and added five rebounds, four assists and one steal during the Warhawks’ 65-63 victory at No. 16-ranked UW-La Crosse on Jan. 29. He finished 7-of-15 from the field, including 2-of-5 from three-point range, and hit both of his free-throw attempts. With 1:27 to play, Kale knocked down a three-pointer to give the Warhawks their first lead since the 17:37 mark of the second half. His jumper with 34 seconds to play put UW-Whitewater ahead by two, a lead it held over the final seconds.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Anna Graaskamp, Senior (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial), Forward of UW-Eau Claire

Graaskamp was instrumental for the Blugolds in an 83-80 double overtime victory at UW-Stout on Jan. 29, to improve their conference record to 6-2.  She tallied a double-double with 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting (57.1 percent) and 14 rebounds, including 11 defensive. Graaskamp scored 10 of her 19 points down the stretch in the overtimes. She also contributed two steals, two assists and one blocked shot in 33 minutes of playing time.
