Looking Back

Wausau already had the conference title wrapped up, but the Huskies closed the regular season on a high note, holding off an improving Barron squad 70-63 last Wednesday. Barron tried to make it a game late, rallying from a 14-point deficit at the start of the fourth quarter before Wausau ultimately closed things down for a seven-point win. Patience Pyan (Merrill HS) was outstanding as always with 40 points, while Brittany Ange (Athens HS) added 13. Barron had four players in double-figures, led by 19 from Brandi Gauthier (Bruce HS).

Playing its first game in two-and-a-half weeks, Fox Cities closed out a strong second semester with a 51-23 victory over Washington last Wednesday. Lilly Scheffler (Fox Valley Lutheran HS) had a game-high 13 points, while Marilee Williamson (Appleton North HS) had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Emma Chase (Wautoma HS) pulled down 18 boards.

Looking Ahead
