Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of February 10 through 16. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: Feb. 10-16

Maty Wilke, Beaver Dam girls basketball: Maty has been a catalyst all year for the Division 2, second-ranked Beaver Dam girls squad. Maty, who is the top ranked player in the class of 2021 scored a game high 25 points as Beaver Dam took down Division 2, third-ranked DeForest. The win propelled the Golden Beavers to their eleventh consecutive conference title, last three coming in the Badger North. 

Natalie Leuzinger, Black Hawk girls basketball: The Black Hawk girls program, like Beaver Dam, has been dominant in the state the past few seasons. Natalie etched herself in the record books this past week in a 72-41 win over Albany. In the game, she scored 15 points and hauled down 10 rebounds. In doing so, Natalie became the school's all-time leading scorer in both girls and boys basketball with 1,662 career points.

Carter Greening, Weyauwega-Fremont wrestling: Carter had an extremely efficient weekend capturing a regional title at 120 points at Auburndale. The top ranked wrestler in his weight class, Carter only spent 1:58 on the mat as he recorded a pair of wins via pin. On the season, Carter is 39-1 and headed to sectionals.

Alex Huibregtse, Grafton boys basketball: Alex has been phenomenal this season for the Grafton basketball squad. This past week in an 83-66 win over Hartford, he had 39 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists, connecting on eight of twelve shots beyond the arc. Alex followed that up by filling up the stat sheet in a 97-83 win over Port Washington. He had 33 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists in the win, shooting seven of fourteen from three.

David Joplin, Brookfield Central boys basketball: David was nothing short of dominant as Brookfield Central picked up a pair of huge wins this past week, starting with a 94-86 win over Marquette. In that game, he had 36 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two blocks. Brookfield Central then squared off with Greater Metro foe and highly ranked Sussex Hamilton. David dominated early and often in the 78-73 win. He had 36 points and 10 rebounds in the victory. In the two wins, David shot 12 of 10 from three (60%).
