Senior Girls Basketball Awards: Defense Finalists

Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The finalists for the top senior defense award have been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament.

Maddison Baker, West Bend West: Baker, a 6-foot-2 forward, causes problems for her opponents with her size and athleticism. She is averaging 23 points, 11.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 4.4 steals per game for the Spartans, 22-2 overall. The Minnesota soccer signee has career totals of 1,654 points, 1,179 rebounds, 276 steals and 238 blocks. West Bend West plays Germantown in a D1 sectional semifinal at Slinger High School. 

Angie Cera, Mukwonago: Cera, a 5-foot-9 guard, is a lockdown defender for the Indians and has helped them reach the state tournament twice in her career. The Milwaukee signee is averaging 15.1 points per game and has connected on 46 three-pointers this season. Cera has compiled 1,086 points in her career entering tonight's D1 sectional semifinal against Kettle Moraine at Oconomowoc High School. 

Jada Donaldson, Beaver Dam: Donaldson, a 5-foot-6 guard, is a lockdown defender that has helped the Golden Beavers capture three consecutive Division 2 state titles with a chance at a fourth this season. The Milwaukee signee is averaging 9.3 points, 4 rebounds and 5.7 points per game for the Beaver Dam, 21-3 overall. Donaldson has compiled 704 points in her career. Beaver Dam meets former Wisconsin Little Ten foe Slinger in a D2 sectional semifinal at Watertown High School. 

Kendall Renard, Green Bay Preble: Renard was named the FRCC Defensive Player of the Year. The 6-foot-3 Green Bay signee is averaging 14.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.2 blocks per game for the Hornets, 20-4 overall. Renard has scored 1,208 points in her career, heading into tonight's D1 sectional semifinal against Kimberly at Ashwaubenon High School. 

Skylar White, River Ridge: White, a 5-foot-8 guard, is a strong defender that averages just under 5 steals per game. She also averages 19.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest, to go along with 56 three-pointers. River Ridge plays Wauzkea-Steuben in a Division 5 sectional semifinal at Belmont High School.
