Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards. 

The finalists for the top senior point guard award have been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. 

Dalton Banks, 6-2, Sr., PG, Eau Claire North
One of the most productive players in Wisconsin in terms of putting up impressive numbers in the scoring, rebounding and assists categories, Banks was recently chosen as the Player of the Year in the Big Rivers Conference. The NCAA Division I recruit for Southern Illinois is a tremendous leader for the Huskies and helped the team to a 17-7 record heading into sectional play by averaging 24.6 points, 11.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists. He led the league in both scoring and assists and finished second in rebounding. Banks has scored more than 1,700 points during his prep career and netted a career-best 46 points in a loss to Rochester Mayo, Minn., earlier this season.

Jake Buchanan, 6-0, Sr., PG, Kimberly
As a key component of Kimberly's Fox Valley Association-championship team, Buchanan runs the show for veteran coach Lucky Wurtz. And his strong performances throughout the season have helped the Papermakers to a 21-3 record entering sectional play. Competing on a balanced team that shares the ball, Buchanan is averaging 18.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest. He recently surpassed 1,000 points for his prep career and netted a career-high 36 points in an 81-76 non-league victory over De Pere on January 25. Buchanan, who signed with NCAA Division II Rockhurst University out of Kansas City last fall, is an unselfish player who can score from deep and set up his teammates for scoring opportunities thanks to his quickness off the dribble.

Max Klesmit, 6-3, Sr., PG, Neenah
The scoring champion of the Fox Valley Association, Klesmit has put forth yet another stellar season for Neenah and coach Lee Rabas. Klesmit ranks among the most prolific scorers in the state and is averaging 26.3 ppg against some of the top competition Wisconsin has to offer. The NCAA Division I recruit for Wofford University also is averaging 8.0 rpg and 4.8 apg. Klesmit has scored more than 1,500 points during his high school career and had a season-best 39 points in a 78-61 victory over Oshkosh West on Valentine's Day.

Parker Nielsen, 6-5, Sr., PG, Prescott
An NCAA Division II recruit for West Texas A&M, Nielsen helped Prescott to a share of the Middle Border Conference title along with New Richmond by averaging 28.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists. He led the league in scoring and has netted more than 1,600 points during his outstanding prep career. Nielsen is shooting 67 percent from the field and 76 percent from the free-throw line. He scored a season-high 38 points in a victory over a solid St. Croix Central squad on February 18.

Kaleim Taylor, 6-3, Sr., PG, Milwaukee Academy of Science
A four-year varsity player for coach Agape Keys at Milwaukee Academy of Science, Taylor has scored more than 1,600 points during his prep career. The physical point guard is having a huge senior season for an outstanding team, helping MAS to an 19-3 record entering sectional action by averaging 17.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 2.8 steals. Taylor, who signed a letter of intent to play at NCAA Division I UW-Milwaukee last fall, is shooting 59 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free-throw line.
