Brookfield Academy senior Aidan Clarey

No player in Wisconsin made more shots from outside the three-point arc in the 2019-20 season than Brookfield Academy's Aidan Clarey

Lourdes Academy junior Preston Ruedinger matched Clarey with 97 made triples, and he'll be one of the frontrunners for the Wisconsin Sport's Network Senior Basketball awards next season.

But for this time around, the award for the top senior Shooter in the state goes to Clarey, a NCAA Division II recruit for Rockhurst University in Kansas City.

The son of Brookfield Academy coach Pat Clarey and younger brother of former Blue Knights' standouts Sean and Ryan Clarey, Aidan Clarey connected on 97 of 215 attempts from three-point range for a very impressive 45 percent. He averaged 4.0 made three-point shots per contest while helping Brookfield Academy to a 16-8 record.

A quick player who could rise up over defenders and make three-point shots with a hand in his face, Clarey averaged 24.3 points, 4.7 rebound and 3.0 assists as a senior.

The all-time leading scorer in school history, Clarey completed his prolific four-year varsity career with 2,017 points.

At Rockhurst, Clarey will join former Fond du Lac and St. Louis star Drew Diener, who has served as the head coach at the school for five seasons after a very successful stint as head coach at Cardinal Stritch University.

Kimberly senior point guard Jake Buchanan also is a member of the incoming recruiting class at Rockhurst.
