All-conference lists and Player of Year profiles for girls basketball

Following are links to the all-conference lists for the 2019-20 season along with profiles of the Player of the Year for each league:


Maty Wilke, Beaver Dam

Badger North All-Conference 

Beaver Dam junior Maty Wilke was named Badger North Player of the Year. Wilke, a 5-foot-10 guard, averaged 16.7 points, 8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game for coach Tim Chase and the Golden Beavers. Wilke, who has 1,087 career points, holds numerous NCAA Division I offers. Beaver Dam, winners of the previous three Division 2 state titles, finished the year with a 23-3 record and reached the Division 2 state tournament before the season was canceled. 

Badger South All-Conference 

Oregon senior Liz Uhl was chosen as the Badger South Player of the Year. Uhl, a 5-foot-8 guard, averaged 14.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 3.1 steals per game for coach Adam Wamsley and the Panthers. Uhl is committed to NCAA Division II Illinois Springfield. Oregon finished the year with a 21-5 record and reached the state tournament for the first time since 1980. 

Bay All-Conference

West De Pere junior Alexa Thomson was named Bay Player of the Year. Thomson, a 5-foot-8 wing, averaged 16.9 points, 9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game for coach Chris Abaray and the Phantoms. West De Pere finished the year with a 19-5 record, falling to Notre Dame in a Division 2 regional final. 

Big East North and South All-Conference 

Ozaukee senior Becca Schauer took home Big East Player of the Year honors. Schauer, a 5-foot-6 guard, averaged 19.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 6.2 steals per game for coach Tim Wolff and the Warriors (18-5 overall). She finished her career with 1,497 points. 


Leilani Kapinus, Madison Memorial

Big Eight All-Conference 

Madison Memorial senior Leilani Kapinus was named Big Eight Player of the Year. The 5-foot-11 wing averaged 18 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 4.5 steals and 2.2 blocks per game for coach Marques Flowers and the Spartans. Kapinus is committed to Penn State and scored 1,229 points despite missing nearly her entire junior year with an ACL injury. Madison Memorial went 24-2 on the season, falling to league foe Middleton, 61-58, in a Division 1 sectional final. 

Big Rivers All-Conference

River Falls senior Kylie Strop was chosen as the Big Rivers Player of the Year. The 5-foot-7 point guard averaged 17.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.5 steals per game for coach Ian Sticht and the Wildcats. Strop is committed to NCAA Division I North Dakota State. She finished her career with 1,542 points. River Falls finished the year with a 20-4 record, falling to New Richmond in a Division 2 regional final. 

Capitol North All-Conference 

Lake Mills junior Julianna Wagner took home Capitol North Player of the Year honors. The 5-foot-5 point guard averaged 13.3 points, 4.4 assists and 2 steals per game for coach Brandon Siska and the L-Cats. Lake Mills reached the state tournament for the first time in program history before falling to Wrightstown, 62-54, in a Division 3 state semifinal. 

Capitol South All-Conference 

Marshall junior Anna Lutz was named Capitol South Player of the Year for a second consecutive season. The 6-foot-1 forward averaged 23 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2 steals per game for coach WBCA Hall of Fame coach Doug Pickarts and the Cardinals. Lutz, who has compiled 1,479 points in her career, is committed to NCAA Division I UW-Milwaukee. She helped Marshall capture the Division 3 state title as a freshman and sophomore. The Cardinals, 21-5 overall, reached a sectional final this season before falling to unbeaten Platteville. 

Central Wisconsin East All-Conference 

Wittenberg-Birnamwood junior Abi Fraaza was voted as the CWC East Player of the Year. The 5-foot-10 guard averaged 16.1 points, 10.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 2.4 steals and 3.5 blocks per contest for coach Nick Mechelke and the Chargers. Wittenberg-Birnamwood finished the year with a 22-2 record, falling to Freedom in a Division 3 regional final. 

Central Wisconsin North All-Conference 

Manawa junior Kaitlyn Miller and Northland Lutheran junior Brooke Newman share CWC North Player of the Year honors. 

Miller, a 5-foot-8 wing/forward, averaged 9.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game for coach Patrick Collins and the Wolves (14-9 overall). 

Newman, a 5-foot-7 wing, averaged 12.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest for coach Dean Borcherding and the Wildcats (17-4 overall). 

Central Wisconsin South All-Conference 

Pacelli senior Sarah Mueller was chosen as the CWC South Player of the Year. The 6-foot forward averaged 21.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2 blocks per game for coach Jake Jalling and the Cardinals. Mueller is committed to UW-Platteville and finished her career with 1,409 points. Pacelli, 16-9 overall, reached Division 4 sectional play before falling to Marathon. 

Classic Eight All-Conference 

Mukwonago senior Angie Cera and Oconomowoc senior Olivia Sobczak were named co-Players of the Year in the Classic Eight. 

Cera, a 5-foot-9 guard, averaged 15.1 points per game and connected on 46 three-pointers for coach Rick Kolinske and the Indians. The NCAA Division I UW-Milwaukee signee helped the Indians to two state tournament appearances and finished her career with 1,086 points. 

Sobczak, a 6-foot wing/forward, averaged 21.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3 assists per game for coach Bob Shea and the Raccoons. Sobczak led Oconomowoc to its first state tournament appearances in program history before the tournament was canceled. She finished her career with 1,298 points despite missing her junior year recovering from an ACL injury. 

Cloverbelt East All-Conference 

Loyal senior Remi Geiger received Cloverbelt East Player of the Year honors. The 5-foot-4 point guard, averaged 18.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.1 steals per contest for coach Mike Rueth and the Greyhounds. Geiger helped Loyal capture the Division 5 state title in 2017. She finished her career with 1,308 points. Loyal (21-5) reached Division 5 sectional play before losing to unbeaten Clear Lake. 

Cloverbelt West All-Conference 

McDonell Central junior Maggie Craker was chosen as the Cloverbelt West Player of the Year. The 5-foot-9 guard, averaged 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2 steals per game for coach Don Cooper and the Macks (15-9 overall). Craker also made 67 three-pointers, while shooting better than 40 percent from behind the arc. 

Coulee All-Conference 

Arcadia senior Ellie Hoesley was named Coulee Player of the Year. The 6-foot wing/forward averaged 15.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.2 steals per contest for coach Tom Cowley and the Raiders. Hoesley led Arcadia to its first state tournament appearance since 1998 before falling to Platteville, 48-45, in a Division 3 state semifinal. 

Dairyland Large and Small All-Conference 

The Dairyland Conference does not select a Player of the Year in girls’ basketball. 

Dunn-St. Croix All-Conference 

Colfax senior Kameri Meredith took home Player of the Year honors in the Dunn-St. Croix. The 5-foot-8 wing averaged 13.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 3 steals per contest for WBCA Hall of Fame coach Joe Doucette and the Vikings. Meredith, who scored 1,238 career points, led Colfax to a Division 4 sectional appearance before falling to Unity. 

East Central All-Conference 

Waupun sophomore Abbie Aalsma was named East Central Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The 5-foot-9 guard averaged 19.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.3 steals per game for coach and father Tim Aalsma. Abbie is committed to NCAA Division I Illinois State. Waupun finished the year with a 21-3 record, falling to Laconia in a Division 3 regional final. 

Eastern Wisconsin All-Conference 

Sheboygan Falls senior Emma Wollert was selected as the Eastern Wisconsin Player of the Year. The 6-foot-2 forward averaged 13.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 2 blocks per game for the Falcons. Wollert is committed to NCAA Division II Truman State for volleyball. Sheboygan Falls reached a Division 3 sectional final before losing to Wrightstown, 54-39. 

Flyway All-Conference 

Winnebago Lutheran junior Geneva Hewitt was named Flyway Player of the Year. The 5-foot-8 guard averaged 15.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game for coach Eric Schraufnagel and the Vikings. Winnebago posted a 19-5 record, falling to state qualifier Mishicot, 55-42, in a Division 4 regional final. 

FRCC All-Conference 

Green Bay Preble junior Carley Duffney received FRCC Player of the Year honors. The 5-foot-11 wing/guard, averaged 18.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game for coach Jim Doell and the Hornets. Duffney, who has 1,087 career points, is committed to NCAA Division I South Dakota State. Green Bay Preble ended the season with a 20-5 record, falling to Kimberly, 62-55 in OT, in a Division 1 sectional semifinal. 


Macy McGlone, Hortonville

FVA All-Conference 

Hortonville senior Macy McGlone was chosen as the FVA Player of the Year. The 6-foot-2 forward averaged 17.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest for coach Celeste Ratka and the Polar Bears. McGlone was a member of four state tournament teams, helping lead them to the past three, and finished her career with 1,300 points. She is committed to NCAA Division I UW-Milwaukee. Hortonville finished the year with a 25-1 record with its lone loss coming against defending Division 1 state champion Bay Port to open the season. 

Great Northern All-Conference 

Rhinelander seniors Kenedy Van Zile and Cynthia Beavers shared Great Northern Player of the Year honors. Van Zile, a 5-foot-6 point guard, averaged 21.4 points, 3.3 assists and 4.3 steals per game for coach Ryan Clark and the Hodags. Van Zile finished her career with 1,667 points. Beavers, a 5-foot-6 guard, netted 15.9 points per contest for the Hodgags. Rhinelander went 19-6 overall and reached a Division 2 sectional before losing to state qualifier Hortonville. 

Greater Metro All-Conference 

Brookfield Central senior Anna Mortag was named Greater Metro Player of the Year. The 6-foot wing/forward averaged 19.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2 steals per game for coach Mallory Liebl and the Lancers. Mortag, an NCAA Division I IUPUI signee, scored 1,522 career points. Brookfield Central posted a 15-9 record, falling to West Bend West, 57-47, in a Division 1 regional final. 

Heart O’North All-Conference 

Ladysmith freshman Raemalee Smith received Heart O’North Player of the Year honors. The 5-foot-4 point guard averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3 steals per contest for coach Brad Cody and the Lumberjills. Ladysmith ended the year with an 18-6 record, losing to Unity in a Unity in a Division 4 regional final. 

Indian Trails Blue

University Lake/Trinity Academy senior Rachel Soley was named Indian Trails Blue Player of the Year. The 5-foot-10 forward averaged 12.8 points, 8 rebounds, 5.1 steals and 2.8 blocks per game for coach John Doherty and the Lakers (18-5 overall). 

Indian Trails Gold 

Rock County Christian senior Kora Lathers was named Indian Trails Gold Player of the Year. 

Indianhead 

Ironwood, Mich., junior McKenzie Boyd was selected as the Indianhead Player of the Year. Boyd averaged over 22 points per game in league play for the Red Devils. 

Lake Superior All-Conference 

The Lake Superior Conference does not select a Player of the Year in girls’ basketball.

Lakeland Central All-Conference 

Clear Lake senior Madison Zimmer received Lakeland Central Player of the Year honors. The 5-foot-7 point guard averaged 14.1 points, 3 assists and 3.2 steals per contest for coach Ryan Blanchard and the Warriors. Zimmer scored 1,071 points in her career and helped lead Clear Lake to its first state tournament appearance since 1997. The Warriors ended the season with a 26-0 record as the season was canceled before they were able to play at the state tournament. 

Lakeland East All-Conference 

Flambeau sophomore Kristen Lawton was chosen Lakeland East Player of the Year. The 5-foot-6 wing averaged 14.9 points per game for coach Mandy Bratanich and the Falcons (12-11). 

Lakeland West All-Conference 

St. Croix Falls junior Olivia Miron and Unity junior Raegan Sorenson were named co-Players of the Year in the Lakeland West. 

Miron, a 5-foot-11 forward, averaged 14 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.9 steals per contest for coach Angie Maternowsky and the Saints. Miron helped lead St. Croix Falls to a Division 3 sectional final before falling to Arcadia, 52-49, and finishing the year with a 24-2 record. 

Sorenson averaged 19.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 5.3 steals per game for coach Joe Tilton and the Eagles. Sorenson led them to a Division 4 sectional final before falling to Melrose-Mindoro to finish the year with a 21-4 record. 

Marawood North All-Conference 

Phillips sophomore Jada Eggebrecht was chosen as Marawood North Player of the Year. The 5-foot-8 guard, averaged 23.2 points, 7 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 3.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest for coach Mike Eggebrecht and the Loggers. Jada connected on 57 three-pointers and led Phillips to a 17-7 record. She will enter her junior year with 1,013 points. The Loggers fell to Colfax in a Division 4 regional final. 

Marawood South All-Conference 

Newman Catholic senior Julia Seidel was named Marawood South Player of the Year for a second consecutive season. The 5-foot-8 guard averaged 15.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game for coach Paul Haag and the Cardinals. Seidel, a UW-La Crosse commit, connected on 51 three-pointers as a senior and scored 1,313 points in her career. She helped Newman Catholic to three consecutive state tournament appearances. The Cardinals (22-4) were set to play Black Hawk in a Division 5 state semifinal before the tournament was canceled. 

Marinette & Oconto All-Conference 

Crivitz senior Chloe Gruszynski received Marinette & Oconto Player of the Year honors for the fourth consecutive season. The 5-foot-6 guard averaged 20.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 5.6 steals per game for coach Brett Meyers and the Wolverines. Gruszynski, a St. Norbert College commit, scored 1,734 career points. Crivitz finished the year with a 19-5 record, falling to Bonduel in a Division 4 regional final. 


Caroline Strande, Racine Lutheran

Metro Classic All-Conference 

Racine Lutheran senior Caroline Strande was named Metro Classic Player of the Year. The 5-foot-11 guard averaged a state-best 35.3 points per game, to go along with 10.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 5.4 steals per game for coach Steve Shaffer and the Crusaders. Strande also connected on 55 three-pointers. The University of Minnesota signee finished her career with 2,539 points, which puts her fifth on the state’s all-time scoring list. Strande led Racine Lutheran to a 24-1 record, falling to Brookfield Academy in a Division 4 sectional semifinal. 

Middle Border All-Conference 

Prescott junior Isabella Lenz was selected as Middle Border Player of the Year. The 5-foot-9 guard averaged 23.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 4.2 steals per game for coach Rob Radloff and the Cardinals. Lenz connected on 60 three-pointers and scored a career-best 51 points in a win over Somerset. She has compiled 1,371 points in her career. Prescott reached Division 3 sectional play before falling to state qualifier Arcadia, 47-39, to end the year with a 21-4 record. 

Midwest Classic All-Conference 

Lake Country Lutheran senior Kate Benes was named Midwest Classic Player of the Year. The 5-foot-3 guard averaged 21.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.4 steals per contest for coach Kim Hirt and the Lightning. Benes scored a career-high 42 points in a win over Milwaukee Academy of Science. She finished her career with 1,482 points despite missing her junior season due to injury. Lake Country Lutheran went 16-8 on the season, falling to Watertown Luther Prep in a Division 3 regional. 

Milwaukee City Blue All-Conference 

Milwaukee Madison senior Mondrea Williams and Milwaukee Marshall/Young Coggs sophomore Alvi Badberry share Player of the Year honors in the Milwaukee City Blue. 
Williams, a 5-foot-8 wing/forward, averaged 21.9 points per game for coach Kristopher Teague and the Knights. 

Badberry, a 5-foot-8 guard, averaged 21.9 points per game for coach Rachel Story and the Eagles. 

Milwaukee City Gold All-Conference 

Milwaukee King senior Khamya McNeal was named Milwaukee City Gold Player of the Year. The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 18.7 points, 6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.1 steals per game for coach Craig Machut and the Lady Generals. McNeal, an NCAA Division I Syracuse signee, finished her career with 1,374 points and led Milwaukee King (16-8) to a Division 1 sectional semifinal before falling to state qualifier Oconomowoc. 


Lexi Donarski, Aquinas

Mississippi Valley All-Conference 

Aquinas seniors Lexi Donarski and Courtney Becker shared Player of the Year honors in the Mississippi Valley. 

Donarski, a 5-foot-10 point guard, averaged 24.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 5.5 steals per game for coach and father Dave Donarski. This is Lexi’s second consecutive year earning player of the year honors. The NCAA Division I Iowa State University signee was named Miss Basketball by the WBCA. Donarski finished her career with 2,106 points while leading the Blugolds to four state tournament appearances and two Gold Balls with a chance at a third before the tournament was canceled. 

Becker, a 6-foot forward, averaged 13.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game for coach Donarski and the Blugolds. The NCAA Division I Drake University signee was a part of three state tournament appearances for Aquinas, including helping them win two state titles. Her senior season was cut short due to a PCL injury. Becker finished her career with 1,284 points. 

North Eastern All-Conference 

Wrightstown senior Bridget Froehlke was named North Eastern Player of the Year. The 5-foot-9 point guard averaged 19.7 points, 7 assists and 2.2 steals per contest for coach and father Mike Froehlke. Bridget connected on a state-best 116 three-pointers and scored a career-high 36 points in a loss to New Berlin Eisenhower. Froehlke, an NCAA Division I University of Missouri-Kansas City signee, finished her career with 1,426 points. She helped the Tigers to two state tournament appearances, including this season. Froehlke suffered a torn ACL the week of the state tournament which kept her from playing in their state semifinal win over Lake Mills. Wrightstown was set to face undefeated Platteville in the Division 3 state title game before the tournament was canceled. 

North Shore All-Conference 

West Bend West senior Maddison Baker received North Shore Player of the Year honors. The 6-foot-2 forward averaged 24.4 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 4.3 steals and 1.5 blocks per game for coach Joe Pintens and the Spartans. Baker led West Bend West (23-3) to a Division 1 sectional final before they fell to DSHA. She finished her career with 1,734 points. Baker is committed to NCAA Division I University of Minnesota for soccer. 

Northern Lakes All-Conference 

Elcho senior Katie Slowik was named Northern Lakes Player of the Year. The 5-foot-2 point guard averaged 20 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 4.9 steals per contest for coach Michelle Kincaid and the Hornets. Slowik, a UW-Stevens Point commit, finished her career with 1,317 points. Elcho’s season ended in a Division 5 regional semifinal against Oneida Nation, an unbeaten team at the time. 

Packerland All-Conference 

Kewaunee senior Mackenzie Tlachac was named Packerland Player of the Year. The 5-foot-9 wing averaged 19.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 3 steals per game for coach Lynn Geier and the Storm. Tlachac, a UW-Oshkosh commit, finished her career with 1,165 points. Kewaunee ended the season with a 22-2 record, falling to Kewaskum in a Division 3 regional final. 

Ridge & Valley All-Conference 

Seneca senior Makenna Greene received Ridge & Valley Player of the Year honors. The 5-foot-6 point guard averaged 20.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 4 steals per contest for coach Kim Redman and the Indians. Greene finished her career with 1,053 points. 

Rock Valley All-Conference 

Evansville senior Paige Banks was named Rock Valley Player of the Year. The 5-foot-10 forward averaged 18.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 3.1 steals per game for coach Tony Wiemiller and the Blue Devils. Banks scored over 1,200 points in her career. Evansville posted a 19-5 record; the Blue Devils’ season ended in a Division 3 regional final against Prairie du Chien. 

Scenic Bluffs All-Conference 

Cashton junior Adelynn Hyatt was named Scenic Bluffs Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 16.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.9 steals per game for coach Ryan Brown and the Eagles. Cashton (20-5) reached a Division 5 regional final before losing to Eleva-Strum. 


Black Hawk's Natalie Leuzinger, Bailey Butler and Hannah Butler

Six Rivers East All-Conference 

Black Hawk’s Hannah Butler, Natalie Leuzinger and Bailey Butler shared Six Rivers East Player of the Year honors. The trio led the Warriors to three consecutive Division 5 state tournament appearances and one Gold Ball. They had a 54-game winning streak entering the state tournament before COVID-19 caused the WIAA to cancel the state tournament after one day. 

Hannah Butler, a 5-foot-7 guard, averaged 18.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2 assists and 4.5 steals per game for coach Mike Flanagan and the Warriors. The UW-Platteville commit finished her career with 1,582 points. 

Leuzinger, a 5-foot-9 guard, averaged 16.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3 assists and 3.3 steals per contest for the Warriors. The Wisconsin walk-on finished her career with 1.803 points. Leuzinger earned at least a share of the Six Rivers East Player of the Year honors in each of her four seasons. 

Bailey Butler, a 5-foot-7 point guard, averaged 15.3 points, 6.5 assists and 6.9 steals per game for the Warriors. She also connected on 58 three-pointers. The NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay commit has compiled 1,337 points in her career. Butler earned a share of the player of the year honors as a sophomore as well. 

Six Rivers West All-Conference 

River Ridge senior Skylar White was named Six Rivers West Player of the Year for the second straight season. The 5-foot-8 guard averaged 19.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 4.8 steals per game for WBCA Hall of Fame coach Caron Townsend and the Timberwolves. Skylar also made 60 three-pointers. She finished her career with 1,401 points and led River Ridge to a Division 5 sectional final this season before falling to Bangor. 

South Central All-Conference 

Westfield junior Lexi Brakebush received South Central Player of the Year honors. She averaged 16.1 points, 2.9 assists and 3.8 steals per game for coach Luke Showen and the Pioneers. Westfield finished the year with a 16-7 record, falling to Marathon in a Division 4 regional final. 

Southeast All-Conference 

Racine Horlick senior Olivia Pitrof and Franklin junior Olivia Rangel shared Southeast Player of the Year honors. 

Pitrof, a 5-foot-11 wing, averaged 24.2 points, 13.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals per contest for coach Ambrial Sanders and the Rebels. The NCAA Division II Regis University signee scored 1,562 points in her career. Pitrof scored a career-best 41 points in a win over Racine St. Catherine’s. 

Rangel, a 5-foot-8 guard, averaged 17.4 points, 4 assists and 3.3 steals per game for coach Tony Kathrens and the Sabers. Olivia also connected on 40 three-pointers. She has scored 1,025 points in her career. Rangel netted a career-high 37 points in a win over Kenosha Tremper. 

Southern Lakes All-Conference 

Waterford senior Katie Rohner was named Southern Lakes Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 18 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game for coach Dena Brechtl and the Wolverines. Rohner finished her career with 1,569 points. She led Waterford to a Division 2 sectional appearance before falling to Waukesha West. 

SWAL All-Conference 

Mineral Point senior Nicole Johnson was selected as the Player of the Year of the SWAL. The 6-foot-3 forward averaged 12.8 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.4 steals and 2.7 blocks per game for coach Michael Keyes and the Pointers. Johnson helped lead Mineral Point to a Division 4 sectional appearance before losing to Aquinas, the two-time defending D4 state champions. 


Sami Martin, Platteville

SWC All-Conference 

Platteville senior Sami Martin was named SWC Player of the Year. The 6-foot-2 forward averaged 17.4 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.7 steals per contest for coach Mike Foley and the Hillmen. Martin, an NCAA Division I Bradley University signee, finished her career with 1,571 points. She helped lead Platteville to its first state tournament appearance since 1984. The Hillmen defeated Arcadia in a Division 3 state semifinal before the tournament was canceled. They were set to play Wrightstown in the title game. 

Trailways East All-Conference 

Horicon senior Payton Marvin was voted Trailways East Player of the Year. The 5-foot-6 guard averaged 20.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.5 steals per contest for coach John LeBlanc and the Marshmen. Marvin, a UW-Platteville commit, scored 1,130 points in her career. Horicon reached a Division 4 regional final before falling to Poynette. 

Trailways South All-Conference 

Parkview senior Taylor Burrell took home Trailways South Player of the Year for the second straight season. She averaged 12.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game for coach Chad Smith and the Vikings. 

Trailways West All-Conference 

Fall River senior Samantha Leisemann was named Trailways West Player of the Year. The 6-foot forward averaged 14 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.5 steals and 3 blocks per contest for coach Jim Doolittle and the Pirates. The Wisconsin Lutheran College commit finished her career with 1,274 points. Leisemann helped Fall River reach the state tournament as a junior and a sectional appearance as a senior before falling to Black Hawk, 62-45. 

Wisconsin Valley All-Conference 

Stevens Point senior Leah Earnest was named Wisconsin Valley Player of the Year for the second straight season. The 5-foot-11 wing averaged 27.8 points, 14.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.3 steals per game for coach Kraig Terpstra and the Panthers. Earnest, an NCAA Division I Valparaiso University signee, finished her career with 2,084 points and over 1,000 rebounds. Stevens Point reached sectional play before falling to defending Division 1 state champion Bay Port in overtime, 47-38.  

Woodland East All-Conference 

Brown Deer senior Mattie Schimenz was named Woodland East Player of the Year. The 5-foot-8 guard averaged 17 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.5 steals per contest for coach Anthoni Parr and the Falcons. Schimenz, a NCAA Division II Winona State signee, scored 1,595 points in her career. 

Woodland West All-Conference 

Pius XI Catholic senior Jasmine Kondrakiewicz was named Woodland West Player of the Year. The 6-foot-1 forward averaged 12.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for coach Scott Herrick and the Lady Popes.  Kondrakiewicz, an NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay signee, finished her career with 938 points and 808 rebounds. Pius XI Catholic reached a sectional final before falling to league foe Pewaukee.
