How has not being able to play this spring impacted you? "Not being able to play this spring has really made me think. When I was younger, everyone used to tell me 'it goes by so fast' and 'play every game like it might be your last', and I never really thought much about it. However, I never would have imagined that the 2019 state championship would be the last game I would play with the girls that I grew up with. Not being able to play this past spring has made me truly value the relationships and memories that I collected from this sport. I am forever grateful for the memories that I get to keep from Poynette softball."

What do you miss about not being able to play this spring? "I miss everything. I miss our practices and being able to grow closer with my teammates. I miss my coaches and their advice and humor. And honestly I just miss the feeling of lacing up my cleats, stepping onto the field and doing what I love most. Our softball program is so special to me, and it always will be."

What have you done to stay active? "I have been working out because I am not used to not having any sports! I have also been pitching at home."

Most Memorable Moment from spring sports? "My favorite memories are the back-to-back state championships in 2018 and 2019 and the bus rides to and from Goodman Diamond. Our group of girls is so energetic and fun, we sang and danced our hearts out the whole time we were on the bus. I will never forget it. I also will never forget the sectional final battle against Dodgeville down in Brodhead last year. It was one of the longest and most exciting games I have been a part of."

Other sports played? Volleyball

Favorite Professional Athlete: "My favorite professional athlete is Jackie Robinson."

Favorite Professional Team: "My favorite professional team is the Packers."

Favorite College Team: "My favorite college team is UW-Madison."

Favorite Sports Movie: "I have two favorite sports movies: The Blindside and 42."

Favorite Opponent: "My favorite opponent is Dodgeville because we had such a great battle in 2019."

Favorite Website: "My favorite website (app) is TikTok."

College Plans: "I am attending Madison College next year and I am playing softball there. My major is undecided."
