How has not being able to play this spring impacted you? "It’s been rough not being able to practice and play with this team. We have grown up playing together from t-ball on. Not being able to compete our 2020 senior year has been hard to accept. I have had many tears about this, and I hope that we will get to play together in July for 30 days that the WIAA has allowed us to have. I know that this won’t be the same as competing for a state championship, but it will allow us to pay together for our senior year. That makes us all excited."

What do you miss about not being able to play this spring? "The team bonding that we have every year…from the bus rides to late nights tp-ing our coach’s house (Roger Schliewe). This is a close group of girls and playing together makes us closer. I miss seeing everyone every day and having this special softball bond."

What have you done to stay active? "I try to get 3-4 workouts in pitching each week. I have also been running (most days). I also have my sister, Megan, to thank for keeping me motivated to workout and stay in shape."

Most Memorable Moment from spring sports? "For sure winning back to back state championships with this team. I would say a close second would be the dance party we had at the indoor complex at Goodman field in 2018 during the rain delay with all the teams there. It was so much fun to bond with all of the softball players all over the state."

Other Sports Played: Volleyball and Basketball

Favorite Professional Athlete: "Megan Kleist and Nicole Newman.  Both are Wisconsin Girls that went on to do great things in softball.  Megan is just finishing college (started in Oregon and finished in Louisiana Lafayette), while Nicole graduated last year (from Drake University).  Both super great pitchers and inspire me everyday to work hard and be the best I can be."

Favorite Professional Team: Green Bay Packers

Favorite College Team: Illinois State Redbirds

Favorite Sports Movie: Miracle

Favorite Opponent: "Johnson Creek. They have some great players that play travel ball with some of the Marshladies. They were always a tough opponent but it was great when we came away with wins."

Favorite Website: YouTube

College Plans: "Attend Illinois State University while playing softball for the Redbirds. I will be majoring in Criminal Justice and hope to do great things on and off the field.  #BACKTHEBIRDS"
