How has not being able to play this spring impacted you? "Not being able to play this spring definitely impacted my mindset a little negatively because all year, especially after winning state, I have been looking forward to getting back onto the field. After coming off such an amazing season, I was so excited to come back and show everyone why we deserved to win. Putting in all the preseason work just to find out that the season was cancelled was definitely a heartbreaker. It also is tough that this was supposed to be my senior season because you think about how all the little things that you don’t get to experience that you’ve seen all the other senior classes get over the years. The hardest part however, is realizing that my last game and the last time I put on an Oregon jersey is already behind me and I didn’t even realize it."

What do you miss about not being able to play this spring? "The thing I miss most about not being able to play this spring is being with my team. We are with each other nonstop during the spring and the amount of memories that we make without even realizing it is crazy. I think back to all the bus rides, the hanging out before games, the team bonding, and I can’t help but miss just being around the people that I become so close with."

What have you done to stay active? "In order to stay active during this time I have been working out regularly to keep up with my normal fitness. I also have been going on a lot of walks and hikes in order to get outside as much as I can."

Most Memorable Moment from spring sports? "The most memorable moment for me during spring soccer was the shootout and winning state in 2019. I can still remember everything that I was feeling when I was on the line during the shootout. The minute the whistle blew and we won, I sprinted to my team who was already coming towards me and it was the most amazing feeling because it felt like everything had paid off. Winning state was our main goal all year and to have been a part of achieving that goal was extremely rewarding. There is nothing quite like the feeling of raising the trophy above your head while being surrounded by your best friends."

Favorite Professional Athlete: "My favorite professional women’s soccer player is Christen Press."

Favorite Professional Team: "My favorite NWSL team is the Washington Spirit and my favorite international team is Paris Saint-Germain."

Favorite Sports Movie: "My favorite movie that is related to soccer is She’s the Man but my favorite sports movie overall is Chasing Mavericks."

Favorite Opponent: "My favorite opponent during the season is Edgewood because I always know it will be a good game. Over the past few years, the winner of the conference title has come down to who wins that game so the intensity is always heightened, plus they are a very good team which means I know I’ll have to make saves during the game."

College Plans: "I plan to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison in order to study chemical engineering as well as minor in Spanish."
