Football Friday Night to return in 2020

09/16/2020, 4:00pm CDT
By Travis Wilson

WisSports.net will again be involved with the statewide Football Friday Night radio show that will air on affiliates around Wisconsin. Aired live every Friday night during the high school football season, the show runs from 9:30 to 11:00 pm, with a rundown of the nights big stories and results, a Scoreboard read of the big matchups, conversations with coaches and other guests from around the state.

Things will be a little different this year, however. WSN General Manager Travis Wilson has served as a co-host of the show for a dozen years, but this year the show will be produced out of Milwaukee by 97.3 The Game instead of studios in Madison. To better facilitate game coverage for WSN, Wilson will transition to a role as producer of the show and a featured guest, instead of co-host. WisSports.net will still promote the show, assist with lining up guests, develop and update the Scoreboard, and produce story and segment topics and ideas.

While he will not be on air the entire show, Wilson will join as a guest for one to two segments each night. Chuck Freimund of The Game Milwaukee will serve as the show host.
