As part of the weekly preview I produce every Thursday showcasing the best games from around the state, I always highlight one contest as the Game of the Week. To expand on that, each week I'll post a poll where you -- the fans -- can vote for who you think will win the Game of the Week.

Hartford (2-0; D2 #3) at Whitefish Bay (2-0; D3 #1) -- Friday, 7 pm

Homestead has ruled the North Shore Conference for decades, but last year saw a changing of the guard, as Hartford claimed an outright league championship. After taking down the Highlanders last week, Hartford takes on another top contender in the league, Whitefish Bay. The Blue Dukes are the top-ranked team in Division 3 after impressive wins over West Bend East and Cedarburg, despite losing multi-dimensional athlete Jayden Jackson, who chose to focus on basketball. Nigel Cheeks has stepped up in a big way, leading the team in rushing while also making a big impact receiving and in the return game. Quarterback Jack Stecker and versatile weapon Grover Bortolotti have also been outstanding.
