Arrowhead opened its season with a tough home loss to Muskego, but the Warhawks have rebounded nicely. After taking down Waukesha South in Week 2, Arrowhead welcomed in Division 1, third-ranked Mukwonago. The Warhawks went up 14-0 early before pulling away for a 35-23 victory. Quarterback Max Bredeson completed just two passes, but one went for the first touchdown of the game. He did most of his damage on the ground, rushing for 230 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. His 88-yard scamper in the fourth quarter gave Arrowhead a three-score advantage and some breathing room.

Reedsville had a showdown with fellow unbeaten Big East Conference opponent Cedar Grove-Belgium Friday night, with both teams ranked in the top ten of their division. Reedsville quarterback Brennen Dvorachek  threw a three-yard touchdown pass to Weston Liebzeit to open the scoring, and the Panthers went up 21-0 at halftime before winning 28-14. Dvorachek finished with 108 passing yards and a touchdown, adding 106 yards and a score on the ground as well. He would add four tackles and a 15-yard kick return as well.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran has struggled since moving to the East Central Conference several years ago, and with league heavyweight Berlin in particular. The Chargers turned a big corner as a program with a 28-3 win over Berlin on Friday. Joey Ehlke opened the scoring with a 51-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, adding two more scores along the way. He finished with 217 yards on 19 carries, also leading the team with 16 tackles and an interception. Ehlke also punted twice, averaging 38 yards per punt.

Ozaukee trailed Oostburg 14-0 after the first quarter, but the Warriors stayed the course and didn't panic. In fact, they continued to run the ball, run it again, and run it some more. Junior running back Jack Genzmer did most of that, carrying the ball 34 times for a state-high 276 yards and three touchdowns as Ozaukee rallied for a 20-14 victory. He also added three sacks on defense in the victory.

What a crazy game it was between New Holstein and Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian on Friday. Once again, KLC found itself trailing late in the game after New Holstein took a 50-36 lead with 5:41 left. Quarterback Robby Michael orchestrated a comeback that was capped off when he hit Colin Girdaukas down the right sideline for a 74-yard touchdown as time expired to tie the game, with the ensuing extra point giving Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian an improbable 51-50 win. That final reception allowed Girdaukas to break the state's single-game receiving record, as he finished the night with 339 yards on seven receptions, three of them touchdowns. The previous record was set by Spooner's Tanner Vik in 2013 when he caught eight passes for 331 yards and five scores. Girdaukas now has 24 receptions for 767 yards and nine touchdowns in three games this season.
