As part of the weekly preview I produce every Thursday showcasing the best games from around the state, I always highlight one contest as the Game of the Week. To expand on that, each week I'll post a poll where you -- the fans -- can vote for who you think will win the Game of the Week.

Lakeside Lutheran (3-0; D5 #4) at Lake Mills (3-1; D4 #5) – Friday, 7 pm

Separated by less than a mile in the city of Lake Mills, these crosstown foes renew their rivalry with a lot on the line. Even though the Capitol Conference isn't completing a league schedule with half the teams moving to spring, there are still league bragging rights on the line. Not only that, the teams are each ranked in the top five of their division currently. Lake Mills has rebounded from a tough loss to Mineral Point with back-to-back victories over larger teams Kewaskum and Watertown. Senior quarterback Adam Moen is putting up huge numbers once again, as he's already over 1000 passing yards to go with 200 rushing yards. He's thrown 10 touchdowns and rushed for nine more. In last year's 49-14 win over Lakeside, Moen accounted for 449 yards of offense and six touchdowns. Lakeside Lutheran's typical powerful rushing attack is running on all cylinders this year, as the unit averages more than 300 yards per game, led by 151 rushing yards per contest from Micah Cody, who goes for an average of 16.2 yards per attempt.
