As part of the weekly preview I produce every Thursday showcasing the best games from around the state, I always highlight one contest as the Game of the Week. To expand on that, each week I'll post a poll where you -- the fans -- can vote for who you think will win the Game of the Week.

Wrightstown (5-0; D4 #2) at Kaukauna (D2 #3) – Friday, 7 pm

This game was not on the schedule at the beginning of the year, but when the season was delayed and some teams moved to the spring, an opportunity for these programs to get together arose. This isn't the kind of matchup you'd normally see, with Kaukauna a much larger program. However, it is great to see Wrightstown adhering to the "any team, any time, anywhere" mantra. With both teams ranked in the top three of their divisions, this should be a fun one. Another fun caveat to this one is the connection with Kaukauna head coach Matt Binsfeld. He started as an assistant coach at Wrightstown in 2000, was promoted to co-head coach with Steve Klister in 2011 (when the team won a state championship that season), and became the head coach in 2014. He returned to his alma mater Kaukauna in 2016. Wrightstown does most of its damage on the ground, with three players (Quincy Klister, Logan Koel, Jared Pelishek) averaging more than 75 yards per game. Kaukauna is a little heavier on the passing game, as Gannon Demler is averaging 203 yards per game through the air with nine touchdowns.
