Cam Devine of Brookfield Central has been selected as the Week 7 Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the Lancers score a dominating victory over Marquette. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 7. A total of 5,368 votes were cast, as Devine's 2,089 were enough to edge second place Liam Stumpf of Mineral Point, who tallied 1,838 votes.

Brookfield Central has had its share of struggles this season, dropping some close games against a very challenging schedule. The Lancers took out some frustrations in the final game of the regular season, hammering Marquette 47-14. Cam Devine ran for three first-half touchdowns as Central built a 23-7 halftime lead and continued to pull away in the second half. Devine would finish with 22 carries for 205 yards and four touchdowns, averaging better than nine yards per carry for head coach Joel Nellis.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WisSports.net Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Level 1 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
