One of the most anticipated games in the state was a showdown between unbeaten Cumberland and Spencer/Columbus Catholic, fresh off an upset of Amherst. It turned out to be not much of a game, as Cumberland raced out to a 22-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 34-0 at halftime before ending the game with a running clock in a 42-8 win. Cumberland quarterback Maddux Allen needed just 14 completions (on 19 attempts) to throw for 322 yards and five touchdowns, posting a near-perfect quarterback rating of 155.2. All of his scoring throws came in the first half, and he added ten rushing yards in the game as well.

Brookfield Academy's Jonah Jensen tied a state record with eight touchdown passes as the Knights won a 53-48 shootout with Cedar Grove-Belgium. Jensen completed 21-of-28 passes for 262 yards in the big win, adding 138 yards on 22 carries as well. He is the fifth player in state history with eight touchdown passes in one game and the first to do it since Eau Claire Memorial's Bryson Johnson in 2018.

Cambria-Friesland and Catholic Central were locked in a close ballgame Friday night, where every yard and every point was significant. The final outcome wasn't decided until the closing seconds when Cambria-Friesland got a touchdown pass to win it 32-29. Junior running back Owen Jones was huge all night, carrying the ball 24 times for 196 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. He also caught an 18-yard pass for the Hilltoppers.

Mondovi's Tanner Marsh extended his state-leading rushing yards to 1,754 on the season with another huge performance in Level 1. Going on the road to top-seeded Luther, the Buffaloes dominated in a 34-0 victory, as Marsh carried the ball 28 times for 376 yards and five touchdowns. It's the second time this season he's gone over 300 yards, as he's averaging 219 per game on the ground. 

It was a grinder of a game Friday night as Loyal took on Independence/Gilmanton. While the Indees got little to nothing going on offense with just 34 total yards in the game, Loyal hammered away with its rushing attack. All 56 plays run by Loyal were runs, most of them by Matt Szymanski. The senior carried it 38 times for 233 yards and three touchdowns as the Greyhounds claimed a 20-0 victory.
