VNN Athlete of the Week: November 30 - December 6

Below are the VNN Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of November 30 through December 6. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

VNN Athlete of the Week Nominees: Nov. 29 - Dec. 6

Maddy Schreiber, Kimberly girls basketball: Two weeks ago Maddy scored her 1,000th career point. This past week, she helped lead Kimberly to three straight victories. First in a 61-56 win over Hortonville, Maddy had 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and four blocks. She followed that up with 18 points and three steals in a 70-17 win over Fond du Lac. Maddy finished the week off with 20 points and seven rebounds in a 65-57 victory over Notre Dame.

Jada Eggebrecht, Phillips girls basketball: Jada was phenomenal as Phillips took home a pair of wins last week, including a tight victory over Assumption. First in a 60-22 win over Prentice, Jada had 18 points, four steals and three blocks. She then put together an even better performance, recording 27 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals in the 60-57 victory over Assumption.

Kade Gnewikow, Tomah boys basketbal: Tomah picked up a pair of impressive victories to open the year and Kade led the way. In a 71-36 smashing of Reedsburg, Kade didn't need to take over near as much, finishing with just six points and five rebounds. He stepped up big time though as Tomah faced off with Hudson. Kade finished with 25 points, on 10 of 12 shooting, and 11 rebounds in a 79-60 victory.

Luke Pautz, Roncalli boys basketball: Luke began the year incredibly for Roncalli as they began the year 2-0. First in a 65-53 win over Brillion, Luke had 34 points, 18 rebounds, eight steals, and two blocks. He was just as impressive in the following 58-49 win over Chilton, putting up 31 points, 15 rebounds, and five steals.

Charlie Pfefferle, Xavier boys basketball: Xavier began the year with a pair of large victories behind the play of Charlie. In a 72-53 win over Shawano, he scored 12 points, hauled in eight rebounds, and had three steals. Charlie then put together an incredible triple-double performance in a 91-66 win over Shiocton. He finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists.
