Week 5 WisSports.net Boys Basketball Coaches Poll

Division 1

No change at the top, where Wauwatosa East remains undefeated. The Raiders are one of four Greater Metro Conference teams in the top five, joined by number two Brookfield Central, number four Brookfield East, and number five Menomonee Falls, who made a big jump from unranked after some impressive victories over break. Neenah is the third-ranked squad. Kimberly and De Pere dip to sixth and seventh, respectively, this week. Waunakee is about to get its season underway later this week, and the Warriors will do so as the tenth-ranked team in Division 1.

Division 2

Unbeaten Wisconsin Lutheran remains the top-ranked team in the Division 2 WisSports.net Coaches Poll, though former number two Nicolet falls to seventh this week after two losses in the last two weeks. Pewaukee is up to second, followed in the top five by Cedarburg, River Falls, and Whitefish Bay. Notre Dame enters the rankings for the first time this year at number ten.

Division 3

The top four of the Division 3 Coaches Poll remains the same, as Racine St. Catherine's is a clear-cut top team, followed by Lake Country Lutheran. Saint John's NW Academies, Edgerton, and Wisconsin Dells round out the top five. New to the rankings this week are Kiel and Richland Center, who enters at 7-1 on the season with the only loss a two-overtime defeat at New Glarus.

Division 4

Cuba City is a strong favorite atop the Division 4 Coaches Poll once again, with The Prairie School right behind. Roncalli is up from fifth to third, while Cameron and Darlington each drop one spot in the top five. Marathon was unranked in the last Coaches Poll, but the Raiders jumped to sixth this week with a 9-1 record. Aquinas also moves in this at number ten, as Durand and Kenosha St. Joseph drop out.

Division 5

Unbeaten Sheboygan Lutheran continues to lead the way in the Division 5 Coaches Poll. Despite going down to Notre Dame just before Christmas, Lourdes Academy remains second. Blair-Taylor, Randolph, and Hustisford once again round out the top five. Athens enters at number nine, while Monticello is also into the rankings, tied for tenth with Port Edwards.
