Division 1

We knew there were going to be changes this week, not just because the WIAA re-shaped the division after the Madison and Milwaukee schools officially opted out of the playoffs, but because top-ranked Wauwatosa East suffered not one, but two losses. After going down to Sussex Hamilton on Tuesday and Franklin on Saturday, the Red Raiders fell to third this week, meaning Neenah takes over the top spot in the poll. Brookfield East is up a couple spots to number two. Kimberly and Franklin round out the top five. Greater Metro teams Menomonee Falls and Brookfield Central drop out of the top five, as Menomonee Falls had a roller-coaster week, beating Marquette and Sussex Hamilton in league play before getting shutdown 48-43 against Onalaska at the Midwest Players Classic, scoring nearly 30 points below their season average. Cedarburg and Waukesha West are ranked in Division 1 after moving up from D2.

Division 2

Another division, another change at the top. Wisconsin Lutheran fell to Pewaukee, as Wisco drops out of the number one position to third, while Pewaukee maintains its number two spot. Moving all the way up from fourth is Onalaska, as the Hilltoppers are unbeaten and took down D1-ranked Menomonee Falls on Saturday in impressive fashion. Notre Dame is sixth this week after sitting outside the top ten last week, with Ashwaubenon and Plymouth also moving into the rankings. Wisconsin Dells is the lone team moving up from Division 3 to crack the D2 rankings, coming in tenth.

Division 3

While Division 3 lost some solid depth to Division 2 in the re-shuffled divisional placements, the top three in the rankings remain unchanged, with Racine St. Catherine's a unanimous number one pick followed again by Lake Country Lutheran and Saint John's Northwestern Academies. Wrightstown moves in to the poll this week, with former Division 4 top-five teams Cameron and Darlington also cracking the list. Richland Center narrowly holds on to the tenth spot after dropping its first league game at Dodgeville on Saturday.

Division 4

Things picked up quite a bit in Division 4 with an influx of teams that had been ranked in Division 5, but Cuba City and The Prairie School still occupy the top two positions. Former Division 5, number one team Sheboygan Lutheran is now the third-ranked D4 team. Of the eleven teams in the D4 rankings this week (there was a tie for tenth), five of them had been members of Division 5.

Division 5

It was a mass exodus of the top teams in Division 5 following the WIAA's divisional realignment. Gone are the top five teams in the rankings and eight of ten overall, including number one Sheboygan Lutheran. It was a tough group for coaches to rank, without clear-cut favorites. Hustisford is now the number one team, moving up from fifth, while Monticello is close behind at number two, a full seven spots higher than last week. Spots three through ten are occupied by teams that were not in the rankings at all last week.
