Martin Luther freshman Nacir Beamon has been selected as the VNN Athlete of the Week after a vote on WisSports.net

There were 2,508 total votes this week. Beamon topped all vote getters with 905 votes. Brookfield Central's David Joplin came in second with 541 votes.

Martin Luther went into overtime twice this past week and both times came out victorious. First in a 72-68 win over Kenosha St. Joseph, Beamon finished with 14 points. Martin Luther then faced off with undefeated and Division 3 top-ranked Racine St. Catherines. Beamon, the second ranked player in the class of 2024, scored a game high 22 points and dished out four assists in the 65-59 overtime victory.

In victories over Catholic Central and Janesville Parker this week, Beamon averaged 18 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4 steals per game.
