( Week of February 15-21)

MEN’S BASKETBALL 

Ethan Anderson, Junior (Black River Falls, Wis./Black River Falls), Guard of UW-La Crosse 

Anderson averaged 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in two UW-La Crosse victories over UW-Stout. He finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and three steals, while going eight-of-eight at the free throw line in an 84-62 win on Feb. 17. Anderson then had a career-high 31 points with seven rebounds in a 92-75 victory on Feb. 19, while finishing eight-of-nine at the line. Anderson's 31 points are the most for a UW-La Crosse player since Skylar Cameron totaled 31 against Carthage College (Wis.) on November 22, 2014. Anderson shot 50.0 percent (16-of-32) from the field in the two games and 94.1 percent (16-of-17) at the free throw line.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 

Aleah Grundahl, Sophomore (DeForest, Wis./DeForest), Forward of UW-Whitewater 

Grundahl averaged 23.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game during the week to help the Warhawks post a 2-0 record against UW-Platteville. She shot 51.7 percent (15-of-29) from the floor and made all 17 free throws she attempted. On Feb. 17 in Platteville, Grundahl recorded a career-high 25 points, including eight in overtime, and added 10 rebounds and two steals for her second career double-double in UW-Whitewater’s 71-68 victory. Two days later, she registered 22 points, including 10-of-10 shooting from the free-throw line, and grabbed six rebounds to lead UW-Whitewater to a 64-53 triumph against the Pioneers in Whitewater.
