Kimberly's Maddy Schreiber has been selected as the top senior Shooter as part of the WSN Senior Basketball Awards

Schreiber, an honorable mention WBCA all-state pick as a junior, is a versatile and athletic guard who can score at all three levels. She is also strong on the defensive end of the floor using her length and athleticism to cause problems for her opponents.

She helped lead the Papermakers to four Division 1 sectional appearances, including a WIAA state tournament appearance as a sophomore in 2019.

Schreiber, a 6-foot UW-Green Bay signee, averaged 19.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals per game for coach Troy Cullen and the Papermakers, which claimed the FVA title.

She shot 61.8 percent from the floor, 76.2 percent from the free throw line, and made 56 of 115 from 3-point land (48.7 %).

Schreiber finished her career as the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,482 points. She shot 37.6 percent from behind the arc over her four years.

Kimberly, which was ranked No. 1 in the WisSports.net Coaches Poll for the majority of the season, fell to No. 2 Germantown, 84-72 in a Division 1 sectional final to finish the year with a 25-2 record.

Finalists for the award were Schreiber, Jaelyn Acker of Germantown, Callie Genke of Freedom, Mack Hogenson of Neenah, and Sara Kasar of Oak Creek.

Past winners of the award include Bridget Froehlke of Wrightstown (2020), Shemera Williams of Milwaukee Academy of Science (2019), Shay Frederic of Hortonville (2018), Tori Martell of Somerset (2017), Dani Rhodes of Waukesha West (2016), Natisha Hiedeman of Green Bay Southwest (2015), Lydia Rohde of Brookfield Central (2014), Rachel Atchison of East Troy (2013), and Taylor Varsho of Marshfield (2012).
