Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The finalists for the top senior point guard award have been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament.

Mason Dorn, 6-1, Sr., Seymour
A scoring lead guard who can put points on the scoreboard in different ways, Dorn has scored 1,733 points during his four-year varsity career. He is averaging 27.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.4 steals heading into Seymour's WIAA Division 2 sectional-final game against Xavier. Dorn finished with 26 points, six rebounds and five assists in Seymour's 66-63 win at Ashwaubenon in the sectional semifinals. Also a very good baseball player, Dorn remains undecided about his collegiate plans.

Tyrese Hunter, 6-1, Sr., Racine St. Catherine's
Perhaps the best perimeter two-way player in the state, Hunter defends at an elite level, but he also runs the show for a St. Catherine's squad that takes a 25-1 record into a sectional-final game against Milwaukee Academy of Science. A dynamic athlete, Hunter has scored 1,553 career points and is averaging 19.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.8 steals for coach Nick Bennett and the Angels. He finished with 28 points, eight rebounds and four assists in a sectional-semifinal win over St. Mary's Springs.

Brian Parzych, 6-1, Sr., Wauwatosa East
A hard-nosed, competitive, spirited point guard for a Wauwatosa East squad that takes a 20-3 record into a sectional-final contest against Franklin, Parzych is the on-floor leader for coach Tim Arndorfer. He runs the Wauwatosa East offense and is one of the top backcourt defenders in the Greater Metro Conference. Parzych has scored 992 points in his four-year varsity career and is averaging 14.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.4 steals per game, but his impact on the successful Wauwatosa East team goes far beyond his statistics.

Brandin Podziemski, 6-6, Sr., St. John's Northwestern Academies
Like a lot of players in the Wisconsin Sports Network Senior Awards, Podziemski could be listed in multiple categories, including shooter and wing. He moved from playing forward to point guard this winter for interim coach DJ Mlachnik, and the results have been nothing short of sensational. He is averaging 34.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 4.0 steals. Crazy numbers accomplished while going against multiple double and triple teams from opposing defenses. Podziemski has scored 2,107 career points and has helped the Lancers to a 21-6 record heading into a sectional-final game against Lake Country Lutheran.

Preston Ruedinger, 6-2, Sr., Lourdes Academy
The son of Lourdes Academy coach Dennis Ruedinger, Preston Ruedinger is a four-year varsity performer for the Knights and one of the more intelligent lead guards in the state. Ruedinger plays at a steady pace, looks for his teammates and can score at a high level. He has scored 2,293 career points and is averaging 26.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.6 steals for a Lourdes team that takes a 22-5 record into a sectional-final game against Sheboygan Lutheran.
