Mishicot is headed to the Division 4 state championship game, its first appearance in the title game in program history. 

The Indians went on a 14-0 run late in the first half to build a 24-12 lead at the break.

Mishicot's strong play carried over to the second half where they dominated en route to a 55-30 win over Fall Creek in a D4 state semifinal. 

Seniors Desiree Kleiman, a 6-foot wing, and Kylie Schmidt, a 6-foot wing/forward, led the way for the Indians, finishing with 15 and 11 points, respectively. 

Kleiman, an NCAA Division II Minnesota State signee, also tallied nine rebounds and five assists. Schmidt, an NCAA Division II Purdue Northwest signee, added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. 

Six others scored for coach Mike Garceau and the Indians, including junior Ally McArdle, a 5-foot-8 guard, who tallied eight points. 

Mishicot shot 21-for-45 in the game, made two of six 3-pointers, and went 11-for-15 from the free throw line. 

The Indians improve to 19-2 on the season and will enter the championship game with an 18-game winning streak. Mishicot will play Mineral Point in the Division 4 state championship game tonight at 6:35 p.m. 

Fall Creek was led by 6-foot junior Gianna Vollrath, who finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks. 

Fellow junior Katie Kent, a 5-foot-3 guard, added 10 points for coach Jason Martzke and the Crickets, which finish the year with a 15-5 record.

Mineral Point advances to the Division 4 state championship game after rolling past Bangor, 66-30, in a state semifinal. 

The Pointers trailed 5-4 early in the contest before going on a 26-8 run to end the first half and their hot shooting continued in the second half where they cruised to the victory. 

The Pointers were led by junior Blair Watters, a 6-foot forward, who finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and two steals. She shot 5-for-9 from the floor and 3-for-5 from deep. 

Fellow junior Mallory Lindsey, a 5-foot-4 guard, tallied 11 points on four of seven shooting which included going 3-for-6 from 3-point land. 

Mineral Point connected on a Division 4 state tournament record of 13 three-pointers made, breaking the previous mark of 12 set by Aquinas last season. 

Six players made at least one triple for the Pointers. Jade Nodolf, a 5-foot-7 wing, made the Pointers' last two triples which tied and set the Division 4 state tournament record for 3-pointers made in a game for a team. 

Mineral Point finished the game shooting 22-for-55 from the floor and 13-for-28 on three-pointers. 

The Pointers held Bangor to 9-for-46 shooting and scored 23 points off of 18 Cardinals turnovers. 

Mineral Point improves to 17-5 on the season and will face Mishicot in the Division 4 state championship game tonight at 6:35 p.m. at the La Crosse Center. 

Bangor didn't have any players in double figures; juniors Taylor Jacobson, a 5-foot-3 guard, and Aliyah Langrehr, a 5-foot-7 guard, each finished with six points to lead the Cardinals.
